    Agree. With losing a game like that, and the little shakeup today with both adding new guys from Iowa and order change, hopefully it gets these guys to get a little sense of urgency in them and start playing better.

    Now watch like what happened with Happ last week after my comment about him, Swanson will get 3 hits a home run and make the game saving play at Short today So everyone can can say good thing he wasn't benched 😂😂😂😂😂😂

    That awesome, theres thousands and thousands of cubs fans, not everyone going to share the same thoughts. So, maybe today your answer could be the wrong answer or are you always right 🤷 Just like not every single one of Counsell or any managers decision is the correct one 🙄

    Lmao, youre the one turning it into something more than what it is by bringing GB statistics into it. The whole point is, the worse hitter in the lineup overall is Swanson, if Counsell gonna shake the lineup up , might as well start with removing the worse hitter from it. Not every groundball is hit to short, and Rea barely makes it to the 5th inning, so we're talking maybe a handful or so balls might go that way today with Rea on the mound. I have full confidence in Nico that he could of handled it. The oversight for Counsell is that he has a struggling lineup, he said himself there would be a change, and the only change made was removing Happ, so I guess he feels Happ isnt having his best season ever with the bat right now. Moving PCA to leadoff and dropping Nico and Suzuki a couple spots isnt exactly a bold move to the order, it a different look, but if he were going to be bold, he would of benched Swanson too. Not everything has to be about statistics, sometimes you just need to be bold for a couple games to shake things up.

    He can play 2B with Hoerner at SS , i think Nico can handle a few groundballs🙄

    Only change in lineup is Happ is out, it ok to say chibears was right..lol J/K maybe 🤔 😂 Hopefully moving a couple guys around brings better results, bottom line , no matter where you hit, you still gotta produce. Kinda strange not to see at least Ramirez in lineup over Swanson, but this is Counsell we're talking about 🤷

    Lol, you'd think hed play them but as we see, hes not . I mean sometimes players need to feel a little sense of urgency when theres a team struggle, and one way I've seen over the years managers do is just bench guys for a few days and play the bench or young guys that gets called up. Makes zero sense why at least Ramirez isnt in the lineup today. Counsell a head scratcher with his decisions most of time

    They are the 2 that are struggling the worse right now, and they need more then 1 regular day off. You bring Alcantara up, he can play all 3 outfield spots to give all 3 days off, and Ramirez can give Swanson, Bregman, and Nico days off. But the key thing is right now, Counsell needs to shake up the lineup, so if that means playing Alcantara and Ramirez the next couple days over Happ and Swanson then so be it, maybe it the gut punch the whole team needs to get it going again.

    It more about benching the major leaguer who hasn't done much of anything the last couple weeks for a couple days to take a breath and just let someone else play LF. Nobody expecting Alcantara to go on a tear over the weekend and wally pip Happ, but sometimes giving guys a few days off that been struggling helps. You can love Happ all you want, heck I want him to hit so my team can win games, but he has sucked for about a month now (25 games) Average has dropped from 250 to 215 OPS has dropped from 883 to 783 He has K 41 times in those 25 games

    Maybe today was the big kick in the assss this team needed to wake the fuk up and get going. Win these next 2 then go to Pittsburgh and St Louis and take care of them like they should.

    Bench both for a couple games. Send Ballesteros down and bring up Alcantara and let him rotate around the OF. Play Nico at SS and Ramirez at 2B.

    That 20-3 is slowly disappearing, 2-9 now The pitching is bad as it is, but when they do get a decent game from them, the hitting sucks. Wonder if Hoyer has balls enough to fire Counsell and maybe try to ignite something that way
