  1. Might be time to redo the top of order, all 3 of them are horsefeathers right now. Happ turned into a K machine
  2. Yea and it not like they have anyone on bench that could give them good AB so they can give him a day off or two to readjust himself.
  3. Unlike last year when Tucker and Kelly carried them for the most part to start the season, this year other then Nico and PCA getting on base nobody really picking up the slack for them. Amaya off to a great start but limited PT with Kelly getting most starts.
  4. Was looking at weather for this week and noticed starting Thursday 8 of 10 days has rain, cubs will be home for 6 of those days. 🙄
  5. Be nice to get a sweep today and carry the momentum into the next series. Going on a 7-3, 8-2 run could be just what they need to get rolling
  6. That a little surprising but ill take 6 hours of cubs baseball on Easter... lol
  7. Guessing theyll cancel it, and doubt theyll do 2 tomorrow cause it getaway day/Easter and both teams play Monday. Theyll likely reschedule later in season when both teams have a day off together
  8. Makes sense bringing up a pen arm for now, then if they plan on starting Assad on Wednesday over Rea, they can just bring him up then.
  9. My worry is more with Shaw and Ballesteros, you never know what youre going to get out of young guys in year 2 or in Ballesteros case his first full season. At least with Shaw he'll be relegated to the bench once Suzuki returns but Ballesteros is being counted on to be the full time DH and right now theres nobody to replace him if he continues to struggle. Hopefully he gets going this weekend
  10. Ok, but that has nothing to do with my response to OP Yea of course these guys are gonna start hitting, my response was to OP as to the early struggle.
  11. Yep... Ballesteros their main DH is struggling out of the gate with just 3 hits. Bregman has had one good game when he homered twice. Happ outside of his 3 homers, only has 2 other hits. Swanson has been invisible with just 3 hits. These guys need to get it going to get the offense moving
  12. MLB pitchers experiencing wrist and forearm discomfort are often suffering from flexor-pronator mass strain or tendonitis, frequently caused by overuse or improper mechanics. This soreness, sometimes described as "forearm shin splints," indicates a need for immediate rest, workload reduction, and potential examination to rule out serious injuries like UCL damage or ulnar nerve irritation.
  13. Mentioned this the other day, just got reminded after 4 in a row, Cubs seem to be hitting a ton of pop ups in these early games. A few have fallen but damn are they all just really late on the ball and getting under it too much this early in season
  14. Happ and Kelly... terrible AB Busch too First and third ni outs , 3 pop ups
  15. So with forearm discomfort im reading 1-2 weeks if it minor soreness 4-6 weeks if it a strain Up to 9 weeks or longer if it an underlying ucl injury is present Ugggh
  16. Im guessing Assad or Rea will get the next couple of starts, but beyond that is it too soon for Wiggins.
  17. I know, but he wasn't crying when walking off field, that all I was pointing out
