    I was reading where they mentioned that in 2023, there were more pitchers needing TJS in that one year then the entire decade of the 1990s... I get that there are more pitchers today throwing faster then before is part of the cause, but I do believe the limitations they put on these guys early on and increase weight training they do now has alot to do with these injuries increasing.

    Pen and inconsistent offense, the schedule gets tougher next week, they can find themselves 10 back of Brewers in May if they dont get it going.

    Starting to give me Brailyn Marquez vibes now, another solid young starter getting bit by the injury bug. It like the Mark Prior curse 🙄🙄🙄😕

    Likely because of facing LH starters starters and starting 3 for 20 with 8 Ks, and hopefully it just to work a bit with him readjusting some things early. Carlson Conforto Kingery, are showing the reasons why I always bellyache about bench bats. They're not important until they are, im not saying you need 300 hitters on the bench, just guys who are capable enough to fill in when needed. These guys and most others that Hoyer has brought in, couldn't hit their way out of a wet paper bag.

    Obviously it gonna get better but when half the regulars aren't even giving them 1 for 5 on average, 10 games into the season, it not overreacting it disappointing. They're lucky to be 4-5 right now, because if things dont pick up for them by next week, schedule is going to get alot tougher the rest of month.

    Amaya stayed patience took a walk and Nico came through with the big hit.. Cubs 2 best hitters so far

    When you see most of the lineup struggling with 5 guys hitting under 200 and 3 others under 250, and 6 of them with OBP under .280, you dont really need to look at anything else to know theyre struggling offensively. Eventually it gonna turn around, just hope it sooner rather than later, they need to take some pressure off the pitching, especially the bullpen.

    Gonna need a big start out of Taillon tonight, hopefully he can go 6. Bats need to step it up and get going this series. Waiting to see if Brown or someone else goes down for a fresh arm to come up for this series.

    Brewers swept the Whitesox and took 2 of 3 from Rays and Royals, so they haven't exactly beaten the AL best so far. Cubs bats are still in ST mode and the bottom end bullpen arms are exactly what we expected, trash to start the season. Hopefully the bats can figure it out, take some pressure off the bullpen and score a bunch of runs this week, otherwise the rest of this month could be brutal facing Phillies Mets Dodgers and Padres 🤦
