  1. Funny, Boyd only at 50 pitches and he's starting to look like he's done while Wheeler at 84 and still looks like he can go 2 more innings 😅
  2. Depends on who they can get for him in offseason, they most likely won't be extending him after 2026.
  3. Throughout the season, he's too streaky both ways and the cold streaks is usually a bit longer then the hot ones. Guys goes through both at some point but has a medium for most part to level off, his medium is as up and down as his streaks.
  4. I like Happ but he's way too inconsistent. I wouldn't be sad if they traded him in offseason with the year left on deal to make room for Caissie in LF.
  5. 3 and 3 road trip 3 wins 23 to 5 runs 3 losses 1 to 9 runs
  6. Managers are going to have to make sure some of their players don't waste challenges early, as we seen at times now when they point to dugout right away and want a play challenged and it wasn't close.
  7. Aren't they going to be limited with ABS challenges though, I think theyll only get 2 challenges a game. Outside of a handful of calls that gets challenged the rest of game is still going to be called by some bad umpires then.
  8. On average, Major League Baseball (MLB) umpires behind home plate make correct ball and strike calls about 88% to 90% of the time. MLB should consider just going with two umps with every crew that rotates behind the plate and those two umps need to be always be above that 90% correct calls. For incentives to be one of those umps, they should get paid more then the ones on the bases. This along with the ABS system should greatly improve calls behind the plate
  9. Cubs bats need to explode next inning and out up a 5 spot or more.
  10. Happ should know if his hand crossed before the tag there.. you'd think 🤷‍♂️
  11. Cubs need to do some damage second time through order here, get him to start pitching from the stretch.
  12. Tough first inning, Cubs all go down on strike and first 2 hitters reach on Cade.
  13. Cohen not that bad, I bet most first year PBP guys struggled or wasn't that smooth with their veteran color guy. At least he wants to be there unlike Boog who needs to be off half the games. Be interesting to see what happens next season when ESPN not doing baseball anymore if Boog signs elsewhere or if he sticks if he continues to miss a bunch of games.
  14. I think it just Counsell way of getting Turner his AB for now as he is basically the only true bat off the bench now and this is how he's keeping him active. Berti and Brujan are just runners Hoyer really needs to address his bench for the second half of season
  15. Someone above mentioned he hasn’t pitched all week, so hopefully it was just rust and this was a great opportunity for him to get some pitches in for when they really need him.
  16. What the hell was the ump looking at, he wasn't close to being safe 😅 W... nice clean win
  17. Ok, I just remember back when I played in HS in the 80s most everyone had the curve and changeup to go with the FB. I was a catcher and it was always 1 FB 2 curve and 3 change lol
