  1. He went to the bullpen briefly enough to have him listed as a reliever per the league rules as they have been set. You guys need to speak up and let Tim or I know so that we can go over any issues during the offseason and put it to a league vote. We cannot read your minds. This rule, inparticular, has not changed in 3 seasons. I also noticed that no one has posted anything in the offseason issue thread which was posted 4/7/08 (except for Hosak) so that tells me no one has any problems with anything. viewtopic.php?f=35&t=47748 We want to have a league were everybody is as happy as possible.
  2. So says CBS Sportsline. I get a little more detailed.
  3. This is why Tim pays me the big bucks. Anyway, when I told raw you were going to give him Miguel Cabrera and BJ Upton to come back, he couldn't say no.
  4. Sorry to hear that Vine.
  5. Vine, just so you know this rule isn't random.... Posted 3/26/06 #6 in Tim's post: viewtopic.php?p=843279#p843279 On CBS league site under eligibility: http://nsbb.baseball.sportsline.com/help/rules Neither of these has changed in the three seasons this league has been active and is the same for any player at any position. If Tim has made an exception in the past, I am not aware of it or it was before I had commissioner capabilities. I have always followed the above.
  6. Vine, I had to place Gallagher as reserve since you had 4 RP and an invalid roster since 5/15. First, you cannot get a start out of a RP position and second, Gallagher will not be eligible until after his 5th start as a SP. With the above move your weekly points dropped by 13.
  7. Heads up!! Now is the time to clean up your roster. I will be doing a roster inspection sometime this weekend. You have been warned! :assassin:
  8. well this is a little ironic. Don't ya think? Pot. Kettle. Black.
  9. Players? Yes. Coaches? Yes. Trainers? Yes. Staff? Yes. Media? No. The media is not employed by Major League Baseball or it's teams. The media are guests in all clubhouses. IMO, they shouldn't be allowed in. That's what post game press conferences are for.
  10. I accept your offer. I won't be able to offically accept the deal on the league site until around 6pm EST today. If you need for me to make a roster move or change for you, I have the power to do so. :superman: Just send me an e-mail or PM with what you want done.
  11. I am intrigued. Give me 24 hours.
  12. I'll make the offer "official" tonight.
  13. ....check your PM's.
  14. I'll see if I can reach him.
  15. Let's cross that bridge when we come to it.
  16. Tooting your own horn? :hmm: Plus you just placed yourself at the bottom of the waiver order. As for Villalona, that's up to CBS.
  17. You were saying? By the way, in case you need help keeping count, you're losing by SEVENTY THREE. I've been waiting for this.
  18. It's a lost agrument with these guys ELCABALLO45. I feel sorry for some of you. I think you have been sitting behind your computers for so long you have forgotten that baseball is actually played by human beings and not by a sabermetric computer. Enjoy the season!
  19. No one has spoken out against it, and mine is the only vote one way or another so far. I am for having an amateur draft. 1 yes, zero no's so far. I know you would be for it Hosak but no one else has put their two cents in. I think in order to do this and be fair we need at least 7 of 12 yes votes. I think tonight I will post a poll on the league site since I know the two newbies don't have accounts here yet.
  20. Sorry to disappoint but I did not start this thread.
  21. Thanks Tim. I am not so much overrating the importance of "Ozzie Ball" but trying to express how much Podsednik meant to that team in '05 and that the trade for Lee was the right move for the Sox to make. I guess when you speak into a canyon the words just end up echoing back. ;)
  22. Thanks for the baseball discussion guys. Your tact leaves something to be desired.
  23. Nevermind the 59 stolen bases.
  24. Because they traded Carlos Lee for Scott Podsednik. Lee's production was replaced by Dye.
