  1. But what's the harm in making a token gesture? what's the harm in not making one? can teh wounds of NIU not heal unless Sam Fuld has an NIU patch on his uniform? When three of the four currently active professional teams in the same city are making a gesture and you're not, it kind of makes you look like a jack@ss.
  2. I prefer to call it shrewdness. :hello:
  3. Vine, my offer is better. \:D/
  4. ESPN, and FOX, and Comcast, and TBS... Alou's reaction didn't help.

  6. Okay, it looks like we have a yes from everyone except Stitchface (replied to a post in thread but gave no answer) and a no from Raw. I am guessing Juan is still in so we just need one additional team owner to join our 3 year old league.
  7. #1 needs to be ironed out. #2 is this Sunday. We need to get rolling people.
  8. I haven't seen Juan around in awhile.
  9. I think both of us are taking a risk though. If Pujols misses half the season then I certainly got the better end of the deal but if Pujols returns to his usual season of 40+ HR, 130+ RBI and .330+ average then Tim got the better deal. BTW, all naked pictures of Tim have been destroyed.
  10. The package you got for a guy who is unlikely to play the entire year is astonishing. Do you have naked pics of Tim or something? And I was thinking after the deal that I got hosed since Tim jumped on it so quickly.
  11. Damn, a division of...... Detroit Cleveland White Sox Milwaukee Minnesota
  12. Dustin did reply to the return thread. I think the only question mark remaining is goony. RAW is out.
  13. Vine, I can do I complete list for you. That would be very helpful Sorry I haven't gotten to it yet. Sometime this week though.
  14. Tim, I made you another offer. \:D/
  15. OKay. Just hadn't had any luck getting their attention through CBS. He just recently started a new job and went back to school to get his CPA. He said he should be around the boards and CBS site this weekend.
  16. Vine, I can do I complete list for you.
  17. I just heard from Dustin last week. I think goony is mythical like snuffleupagus.
  18. Tim, make me a counter offer on my recent trade offer. I think we can work out a deal that benefits both clubs.
  19. 1. Cubs - Should have just enough to overcome the Brew Crew. 2. Brewers - September should be a fun month along the Illinois/Wisconsin border. 3. Astros - Contrary to popular belief, this team will surprise in a week division. 4. Cardinals - How the mighty have fallen to age and injuries. 5. Reds - Too much young talent on this team for Dusty to handle. 6. Pirates - Will this team ever return to the Leyland, Bonds, Bonilla days?
  20. When Crede comes back and proves he's healthy (along with his cheap contract) the Sox should easily be able to trade him for another mid rotation starter. One more starter means they can bump Danks or Floyd (I say Floyd) from the rotation. With Dotel, Linebrink in the bullpen along with a return to form from MacDougal they have a solid pen which killed them last season. Couple that with Konerko and Dye getting their averages back up to their career levels and the Sox can contend. The Tigers have an awesome lineup no doubt but their pitching is still young and I think Willis is going to get rocked in the AL. I think Cleveland is the all-around better team and I think the rest of the division will be chasing them come August and September. I think the Sox can finish with 90-92 wins and get the AL Wild Card.
  21. Floyd and Danks just have to be average for the Sox to contend and the offense isn't any older than the Cubs who many predict to win their division. Although the NL Central is no AL Central.
  22. It's called a prediction. Id like to hear you basis for this prediction, cause the Astros rotation is horrible outside of Oswalt. Let's see, they have one of the most potent offenses in the NL (Berkman, Lee, Pence, Tejada) along with Oswalt and decent starters behind him (Backe, Wandy, Williams and Sampson). Their rotation was killed by injuries last season and these starters are all coming in healthy.
  23. These have all been executed.
  24. It's called a prediction.
  25. 1. Mets 2. Dodgers 3. Diamondbacks 4. Phillies 5. Cubs 6. Brewers 7. Rockies 8. Braves 9. Astros ------------------contender line------------------- 10. Cardinals 11. Reds 12. Padres 13. Pirates 14. Nationals 15. Marlins 16. Giants
