The game 6 starter would have an extra day of rest, but the others would all be on the regular schedule. I don't think Lackey's poor performance last night will have any bearing on Hammel's roster candidacy. Joe isn't going to let a one game sample size determine that. Besides, there are three days off so everyone will be fully rested by the time the NLCS begins. If we're down 1-2 or 0-3, what's the chances Joe skips Lackey and goes back to Lester on three days rest? If we're up 2-1 or better, I think it's pretty safe he sticks to plan, but worse than that.... I gotta think there's at least a 50/50 chance he goes back to the main horses. If Hammel makes the NLCS roster, I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of piggy back games after the top three make their first round through the rotation in the series.
