  1. They were strikes when we were batting. No they weren't. You don't think that pitch that Bryant K'd on wasn't of the plate? We'll have to agree to disagree.
  2. Those are all outside. They were strikes when we were batting.
  3. WTF? Did the ump move his strike zone in by three inches to right handers suddenly?
  4. So... I'm guilty of the worst world series planning ever. Just found out the sports bar I decided to watch the game in closes in an hour. WTH?
  5. These postseason game times are no fun here in Europe :-( I was going to sleep early then walking up at 3 in the morning (skipping the first 2-3 innings), then going to work. After they lost games 2 and three, and then stomping them in game four when I slept in because I was exhausted... I stopped getting up as early.
  6. I made it for game 6... But I'm heading to GA today and back to Germany on Friday. Wish I could make it back for games 3 and 4...
  7. Indeed! I want to see Jon, 1908, Cuse, NC, and all the other old timers here. The former Jehrico here.
  8. The Cubs are also 0-6 when they're one win away from the World Series since 1984 and I'm watching the game from home. I'm flying in Saturday morning from Germany to catch game 6 in person. Surely that has to be the difference-maker, right?
  9. I wore my Schwarmachine shersey for games 1,2 and 4 of the NLCS, and the first game against the doyers. Didn't wear it for game 3. I'm wearing it tonight. Don't know what to tell you for yours. Go with best overall record over the season for what you have.
  10. The game 6 starter would have an extra day of rest, but the others would all be on the regular schedule. I don't think Lackey's poor performance last night will have any bearing on Hammel's roster candidacy. Joe isn't going to let a one game sample size determine that. Besides, there are three days off so everyone will be fully rested by the time the NLCS begins. If we're down 1-2 or 0-3, what's the chances Joe skips Lackey and goes back to Lester on three days rest? If we're up 2-1 or better, I think it's pretty safe he sticks to plan, but worse than that.... I gotta think there's at least a 50/50 chance he goes back to the main horses. If Hammel makes the NLCS roster, I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of piggy back games after the top three make their first round through the rotation in the series.
  11. My wife just described Brandon Crawford's haircut as a cross between a mullet and a perm.
  12. How much stock do you put into past post season success? Post season Kershaw hadn't lives up to regular season Kershaw standards. Hill still has sample size caution all over him.
  13. I'm going with Ross. It'd be a story book ending for the guy who has been on the retirement tour all year.
