  1. Perfect zone discipline on a 10 pitch PA by Shaw. Awesome.
  2. Zone% similarly doesn't tell the whole story. Have you compared the heat maps?
  3. Tucker has a 0 wRC+ when he goes oppo. For the season. And pitchers are bombarding him with non-fatballs on the outer edge of the zone. He has not adjusted in the slightest, he's gotten notably worse. Busch and PCA are succumbing to this approach as well.
  4. If I were Tom Id cut the payroll by 60m or so. It's embarrassing to have the Brewers continually run circles around you with a massive payroll disparity. I imagine that actually pisses Tom off.
  5. Is this a theme game or is it the result of having the whitest roster since Jackie Robinson was still in UCLA?
  6. Love seeing Busch wack a first pitch curveball. He's been staying in pitchers counts by letting them go too often.
  7. Like 2 guys are hitting who gives horsefeathers about the order of the lineup right now
  8. Id love to know how many pitchers like Rocket, Pedro, Unit, Ryan, etc. accumulated throughout their careers. It annoys me that we won't have pitchers with careers like that anymore. Many guys came out of the gate with the pedal to the medal and never slowed down. This blanket approach bugs me.
  9. I thought you might be right but I figured someone would do the leg work for me, and they did. There’s an eye opener within that sum – 56 of his pitches were strikes. “That’s top-end stuff,” Cubs manager Craig Counsell said in a postgame press conference. “It’s quality stuff. It’s a good formula for success.” It also achieved something few have done. Horton’s 83.6 strike percentage was the highest for a Cubs starting pitcher since 2000 (when such data became available) with a minimum 65 pitches thrown, per SportRadar.
  10. Jed blew that. I get the feeling he offered 80-100 and PCA wanted 130 like Merrill got.
  11. Roman Anthony signs extension for 8/130 with potential for 230 total after team options.
  12. It really sounds like Trapilo could take the LT position. That would be pretty insane to have 4 new starters.
  13. Can't remember seeing a Cubs pitcher with a strike % that high before. Horton was insane.
  14. Those were a couple meatballs from Caleb, right over the heart
  15. You called me out, show receipts or shut up.
  16. I crashed out once a couple months ago at the offense and haven't been really negative about anything else this year. Not complaining about Happ or Swanson. Never said Shaw needed to be benched, or the joined the anti-Jed chorus, but yet im this overly negative guy all the time.
  17. It's looking at a roster realistically but horsefeathers you too
  18. I'd bet money that Jed is gonna trade Happ and not extend Tucker
  19. There were games where Joe or Willson stalled so many times with RISP that even I started to boo. I love the new pace.
  20. He was really nasty. Worked the shadow zones to perfection and caught them guessing and chasing an awful lot.
