  1. Really surprised they didn't. "different look", divisional familiarity, versatile (can open and swing/multi-inning).
  2. TJS, out until Sep '24, comes back throwing 105
  3. Most of PSD just does not believe in the journeyman or several-years-removed-from-positive-value comeback cases and I get it. We are sick of scrap heap scavenging, but if you hit on one of those it's almost like getting a rookie because they will be cheap AF for several seasons. Tauchman is a boon to the roster if he doesn't fall back off a cliff next year.
  4. Luke Little, if he can rein in those walks, could be absolutely lethal He has a 40% K, 50% GB, .180 BAA But he has a 18(!) % BB which makes him unplayable ATM, and he's in AA. Assuming you weren't talking about Brendon.
  5. Moises is such a load. Your knees will thank you if you're able to cut some of that fat, young man. Fun night for the farm's young hitters. Triantos now with a 130 and a measly 10% K rate!
  6. Since 6/27 Bellinger is hitting 405/436/678 with a 9.8 K rate. 15 XBH:13 Ks. His hard hit rate is still pitiful but his launch angle is a sweet 19.8 and he's murdering everything at the belt.
  7. You go out there with a 15 run lead and throw 50% strikes, that's embarrassing. Good catch Madrigal
  8. You don't get to 20 organically anymore lol Play dat man!
  9. Framber just threw a 93 pitch no-no
  10. Since returning from the IL Wisdom has held the Ks under 30% and has hit a handful of homers. He has a BABIP just over .100 but like a 150 wRC+ now.
  11. Thought you weren't gonna come
  12. I wouldve attached Wicks to rid his entire salary
  13. Makes you wonder if they are holding him out in case of a trade
  14. Some of y'all speak of Mervis as if he's a 35 year old journeyman. He barely has 1000 pro PAs. We do not know what he is yet.
  15. They should have just freakin signed him as he languished on the market. Just get him to dial in the control again and you should be golden. He has a career high chase rate and has allowed a career low contact rate, so I think the stuff is clearly still there. Just too many walks.
  16. No more get-me-over-fastballs, Meat
  17. If he can give us his career line that would be great. He would probably hit 20 HR a year into that short LCF area lol
  18. We got Effross back! Note that Effross was a rookie at 27 and toiled at like 12 milb stops before he broke through.
  19. I also think it's good for some of these guys to taste winning and have management back them instead of ditching a couple of the biggest reasons they have won this year. If they end up 81-81 it's still a significant step for the organization, and they have a bunch of exciting prospects that should raise that floor even higher over the next couple years. Now let's go prove we can beat the horsefeathers Reds doe.
  20. The team is in the top half in damn near every relevant stat. wRC+, position player war, base running, defense, both starter and reliever ERA, both starter and reliever xFIP, a huge disparity in runs scored vs allowed. That's not a contender? They've scored more runs than the Orioles and the Astros, they've allowed less than the Rangers and the Dodgers, they have had winning months in 3/4. They've been really good. Unfortunately they couldn't avoid the annual super slump in one of those months and they're behind the 8 ball because of it. You guys base contention off of whether they can beat the Braves and stuff and that's ridiculous; stranger things have occurred in MLB history. The juggernaut Braves lost to the WC winner last year, for starters.
