    He's been awful for sure but you have to take the totality of the season into account. He's still been far better than Giolito, who btw has a 5 ERA and FIP over his last 5 starts. Stroman's contract probably complicates things though. But the bottom line is that Stroman is still having a Stroman season. Just about every metric is pretty much in line with his career norms. He's never been an ace and has never put up an ERA under 3 in a full season. You get him for expected MORP production and the high GB rate/contact suppression.

    The Sox got a decent 50 prospect for Giolito. We could definitely use more of those. However I can't see Hoyer moving Stroman while the team is pushing .500, especially with how much he talks up the human side to roster construction. I've pretty much accepted that they won't be adding any meaningful prospects. I am really interested in seeing him clean up the 40 man issues we will face shortly though.

    Ballesteros - bad body and defense and all - has to get some prospect love this offseason, right? Gonna be going into AA at 20 coming off of a season where he likely drew more walks than times struck out (currently at 54:50) with a well-below league average strikeout rate (14.7). Currently running a 20 HR/40 2B pace per 600 PA and a 143 over the two levels played at. The kid has raked.

    So the White Sox got a 50 and a 40 for Giolito from the Angels. Quero is the clear get; 20 year old C/probable DH, switch-hitter, whos already doing quite well in AA after skipping A+.

    Good spot for Amaya... I'm convinced they do not trust his defense behind the plate yet... His metrics are not that great... Although they are almost exactly in line with what they get out of Gomes. So maybe they are just stupid.

    Or maybe it hasn't. There is 10+ years of data on Marcus Stroman. Teams know he's not an ace but he's still a quality 2 and there's still plenty of interest in trading for him. Didn't you also infer we should have traded Bellinger early as well?

    Hell of a game from Dansby. Really did not expect him to hit the ground running; thought the opposite actually. Would be great if he rediscovered his flyball stroke to close out the season. That Seiya robbery was fantastic. He ran a great route, I thought that was gone. It would have been a crushing, deflating, blow, to Hendricks excellent night. Good W

    We just got some really good fans from PSD. It's gonna be a fun season and there's going to be a lot of activity in that forum.

    I've only caught a few games lately in which I have actually been able to watch each pitch, and I'm pretty sure Morel had an error in each of them. Each time he took his eye off the ball right before it reached his glove. Stupid errors. Little league horsefeathers. Totally preventable. But you wonder if he's consistently doing this horsefeathers at 23 years old still, how realistic is the hope that he actually stops. These are the types of errors that make you really question his viability. His power rage to start the season has really propped up his overall numbers. It would be great if he at least found his power again. I'm really interested in seeing how they navigate the 40 man issues that are coming. That is a lot of intriguing talent, feels like several names would get chosen.
