I like to think they told him that was his last objective to reach the majors and he really took it to heart.
I bet he could save them some money and play the Madrigal role next year. Maybe we could get a reliever for Madrigal in the winter.
Vazquez hit his 7th HR at Iowa (18 total in year with just over 400 PA) with a 120 line and an outstanding BBK. He's had a damn good year and has improved his discipline significantly after his promotion.
That was apparently 71.9 off the bat. That was a pitch that should have been hit in the air to RF. The pitch was a bit of a hanger and didn't catch the shadow of the zone. Nico just didn't get under it enough.
That was a must win game for me as far as the division goes and Steele was absolutely awesome. I was nervous they were gonna give it away but each pitcher locked it down. Great win.
That seems to be pretty bad. 23rd in MLB in August and slightly propped up by a guy with 20 PA. The Cubs are 3rd over the whole season though. Lately Swanson and Gomes are really horsefeathers it up for everybody.
I think the Bears will get something like a top 3 pick from CAR and their own pick in the 10-15 range as they just miss a WC spot. If Fields gets hurt obviously that changes everything and they will be horrendous.
The Brewers have basically played 'go ahead and try to beat us with solo home runs' against us for the last handful of years and we're always left touting our hard hit rate being superior to theirs. Pretty sick of it.
Seiya's approach was so obviously putting him behind the 8 ball. Glad they finally took the step to address it. He has a good shot at ending with a 120 or so this year.
