  1. This is a newly reworked swing? Dudes raw strength is very evident. Really just a flick of the wrists and the ball explodes.
  2. Some day. PCA will be the guy to end the cycle drought. Honestly when I watched the replay I thought he would have had it standing up. The RF lollygagged. Surprised it was so close.
  3. PCA has a top 10 K rate in MLB this month. Pretty nuts.
  4. Eberflus said he's concerned about the DT depth and we trade for a LB? Weird on the surface for me. I know nothing about this dude though.
  5. It's kind of surprising no staff ever decoded that
  6. That meme is so good, horsefeathers hell 😭
  7. Kopech has faced 30 batters with the Dodgers and allowed 1 walk and 1 hit. That horsefeathers organization, man... I bet he's in their rotation next year pushing for a CY lol
  8. Shaw's closed stance and high leg kick raise a little concern with me. The stance possibly limits the pull-side power and the leg kick as we know leaves a lot of vulnerability to change of speed. Can't deny that they have not held him back thus far though. Now sitting at 600 pro PA and he's hit 300/382/512 with a .62 BBK, 25 HR 42 SB. Tantalizing stuff. And I absolutely love what he does when he recognizes a fastball away. MLB teams will probably attack him inside relentlessly, however, and he'll need to prove that he can punish the high-inside heat.
  9. Likely an offseason acquisition, Hodge, Neely, or Little if he comes back healthy next year. Little could be an outstanding closer as he's allowed just 3 HR in about 150 professional IP. I think his delivery puts some extra strain on that shoulder though which could be a recurring issue.
  10. That has to be really hard to pick up. That arm-action is crazy.
  11. Wheeler suffered a knee injury. Would be a bummer end for that kid's preseason if it turns out to be serious.
  12. Scott had a killer game as I was hoping he would and damn Deebo Jones, I see you.
  13. I am really anxious to see what we do about Catcher because it is a desolate position across the league and not many non-contenders have a good one to trade for. The team really has 2 spots they will realistically look to upgrade IMO - C and 2B, 1. Sign Soto. But I think we all know that isn't happening. 2. Trade Nico because the team only has a couple spots it can realistically upgrade & they badly need more power, even if it downgrades the defense. 3. Trade for a C prospect - Dodgers refused to include Rushing in a deal for Crochet, so they probably want to line him up for a bigger trade. There are a few veteran C who can hit and might be available but lack the overall game you want out of the position. I truly believe Hoyer needs to dig deep and find a Busch-style trade for a C prospect that is blocked and a team is willing to move.
  14. The dreaded TBD. Hope Steele is in prime form.
  15. I legit think if Judge stays healthy he will post 7-8 career 50 Hr seasons. He almost has a 1.2 OPS and 400 ISO this year, with an outside shot of a 400 BABIP. A player has never accomplished both in one season. Ruth did both but never in the same season. The year he posted a 423 BABIP he had a 372 ISO. He's the only one to accomplish both in a career. Unfuckingreal how good Judge is. To do this in this era is absolutely nuts. Of course he had to pop-up for the Yankees, of all organizations.
  16. The pitch to Carpenter, he missed his spot by a long shot, but not often do you see a pitch located there inside-outed for a HR.
  17. I want to see him get stronger. I think he has the highest ceiling in terms of WAR in the organization. The swing is geared for lift but I'm hoping he can increase his swing speed and raise the 90th EV and we will see a lot more XBH. The fact that he's been able to put up a K rate like he has in August is actually pretty insane. It hasn't been all early-count contact/balls in play either. He's done a good job of working ABs into his favor. He'll never walk but he should be more of a 280 hitter when he's in his established years, I believe. Probably a 330 OBP is the highest to reasonably expect. Definitely a bit of Corey Patterson in his profile.
  18. Keep piping them right down the middle, Daniel.
  19. Yet Wilson has been so blah that I'm more hopeful than ever we'll get a 4
  20. Pretty sound strategy against the Cubs. We just luckily scraped together 3 runs yesterday.
