Read an article speculating the Rangers may look to move Seager. I would be all over that personally. I know he's had a lot of time off over the years but is pretty much the best we can possibly hope for as far as hitting and defense from an IF and he's LH.
All of the $ in FA should be spent on pitching IMO. If they really need a LHB for the bench it should be via trade. Get a guy who is ready and projects reasonably well but is blocked and offer a little premium. They did it before. Get a guy who will cost nothing for a few years. If they target a C I don't think they will come with that high of a salary either. Like Langeliers has 1 more pre-arb year and then will cost like, 20M, through his arb years?
Definitely not. I'm not sure why they are using like they are. From watching the breakdowns he is clearly not running routes with the same efficiency he has in the past. He's seemingly checked out because he's not the primary target.
He played at a pace of 140 catches last year and 180 targets. He should be the guy we feed like that. However it appears he did not do enough in the off-season to prepare for this and Caleb is nowhere near Justin Herbert.
He needs to get aggressive with trades. We have 6 "top" prospects and a couple more already in AAA close to the Majors. So much ammo to trade it's crazy. Trade for the bat and sign the pitchers that are not attached to QO.
Tucker
Snell
Robertson
Age like Dunn who walks half the time. That's gonna be a lot of fun. This guy is a 120 1B and needs to be treated as such, not given a 5/125 deal. I think it's absolutely crazy.
Go ahead and include Pat in there as those are the last 3 first round picks used. Absolute horsefeathers turdfest. In 5 years Ayo is the only usable player they've drafted.
Williams is playing 28 mpg and shooting 32% from the field LOL (choked on my eggs as I read this) while putting up 8/4. eFG and TS sit at 40 and 42. He is completely useless.
Wright has an MCL sprain, severity unknown.
This is so depressing. Caleb isn't gonna break 4K. Daniels, even if he's a first-read type of guy, is blowing him out of the water. Looking like 2 years in a row we passed on the best QB in the draft.
I cannot believe that pitching staff won a championship. Nice decisions by Ohtani and Yamamoto. We are so far behind that organization it is embarrassing. They have 3 top 10 NL position players and Yamamoto is going to be joined by Ohtani next year+ in the rotation.
And the farm is as robust as ever.
Even though he tends to nibble too much I would love to have Robertson back. He is about as steady as they come and still hits stretches where is is totally lights out and he doesn't cost a lot. Robertson and Scott with a flier on Minter is what I would love to see.
