  1. You might want to look at what Perdomo has done this year
  2. I would not go to the pen yet, they're gonna get battered by this lineup
  3. It's crazy how quickly things change this time of year. Just a few days ago I checked and he was hitting over 300 with an 830. Just like how Dansby entered L.A. with a 120 and left with an 80 wRC+ or something.
  4. Pavin Smith now has a 630 BABIP in 56 PA, what in the world
  5. Haha I don't even know how I posted those in here
  6. Carroll and Smith are absolutely murdering pitchers right now. That lineup is dangerous. And of course we can't figure Suarez out while the rest of the league turns him into a 150 hitter. We really need Happ and Dansby to get going.
  7. Once again I'm leading the trade-back train. Feels like the most prudent route to take if it's there. I'll be furious if he trades up. Hoping for pass rush help or an explosive playmaker on offense.
  8. Yeah but Pavin Smith Has anyone ever held a 600 BABIP for a full month?
  9. It's fun to look at the Int League leaderboard and see Mo right there with Roman Anthony in the top 10 for hitters and see that this 21 year old kid has half the K-rate and is in the top 15 of that category as well. There's very little for him to prove now. If Turner never gets going I hope Jed is quick to release him and get Mo on the squad.
  10. Conversely Dylan Crews has taken 56 PA and he has 7 singles, 3 walks, no XBH, no RBI. On pace for -6 fwar lol
  11. The Cubs lead baseball over the last 5 years I believe in the number of top 100 prospects that have come through the system. Including players he's traded away, his first and 2nd round picks have been excellent, all things considered. The IFA scene has been among the least productive, and the free agency market has been pretty solid, although disturbingly conservative. He finally swung a major trade and it looks like it could be the difference between winning the division and not. Where he is failing hard is the ability to develop power arms internally. They don't have guys that can command a power arsenal and Jed tries to taper over that issue by loading up on competent finesse vets... who subsequently lose their ability to throw strikes under our watch.
  12. Cam Smith was given a 40 on his speed tool lmao. What are these scouts even looking at? Do they only base this off of propensity to steal and efficiency?
  13. PCA now leads the team in fwar and is tied with Edman and Donovan for 7th in position player rankings, 9th overall. Tied with Skenes. Yeah, it's gonna take a lot more than 80 mil to lock him up, Jed.
  14. The NL West is absolutely crazy. The Dbacks lineup is lighting it up right now. Their pen is nasty too.
  15. I felt like this was a good time to put their feet to the fire and see if they can join the circle of trust. It feels like they just suck at developing the modern power relief ace. They just don't throw enough quality strikes. Hottovy and co have to get this sorted out because it is a major detriment to a very good team.
  16. Looks like Little has gotten screwed on 3 quality strikes already.
  17. Some other team will surely turn Palencia into one of the best RP in the game but for whatever reason, with the Cubs he doesn't miss a ton of bats and doesn't throw enough quality strikes. He doesn't overpower hitters like he should.
  18. Swanson sans the xstats continues to be a complete disaster
