  1. There is nothing wrong with being an introvert. People bashed LeBron so hard for his decision TV show and that on stage celebration they did when he was a free agent and now people are bashing Ohtani for doing the exact opposite. The people doing this are the weird ones.
  2. https://twitter.com/BleacherNation/status/1732395493462782309?s=20 He was actually mad about Morel, not Ohtani
  3. The Cubs were never really interested. Jed was only mad because it was his first time finding out Ohtani was a free agent.
  4. A lot can happen in 6 years. In 2017 the Cubs were coming off a World Series. Teams couldn’t offer him as much money as they could now. Ohtani knows the league, players, country, culture, etc much more. It’s not even remotely close to being the same free agency experience.
  5. So Boob has a source higher ranked than the president of baseball operations? 🤨
  6. Maybe Jed really was sick so they had to delay their meeting. That's why the decision got pushed out a week later than the original thought.
  7. No dude, it's all part of the plan. Let all the other teams blow their cover and swoop right in silently.
  8. Then when a player announces they sign with another team there's a bunch of accounts that have been around for years but only have 5 posts or freshly new made accounts that come in to bitch about how the Cubs were never serious and only did this for attention.
  9. 80 grade thread title, bravo.
  10. https://twitter.com/jonmorosi/status/1732115656261124325?s=20
  11. My theory is if the Cubs get Ohtani they are trading for Glasnow. If they don't get Ohtani they will pivot to signing Yamamoto and using those trade pieces on a bat instead of Glasnow. The fact that they are still being connected to Glasnow makes me believe they're still in on Ohtani.
  12. I think plan B is Yamamoto, Hoskins, and a trade we don't know about yet.
  13. That was Stephen A Smith. It revived his career
  14. The premise of some of these writers is Ohtani likes California. That's all they got.
  15. Rosenthal mentioned the Cubs were still involved in the article he wrote about the Jays meeting. Nobody really knows anything, it's all just guessing and opinions.
  16. Leaking penalty, on the offense. This penalty will be assessed at the spot of the foul.
  17. This makes sense. I was at Winter Wonderland on Sunday and I saw people there of of Asian decent. Coincidence????
  18. https://twitter.com/mlbbrucelevine/status/1731892944028717464?s=61&t=C3c_bOrcM I have no idea what any of this means
  19. If you think this is slow just wait til next year when Boras holds up the market with Juan Soto
  20. Sources: Suzuki - Wade Ohtani - Lebron Yamamoto - Bosh They're forming the Japanese big 3 in Chicago with an opt out in 2026 to coincide with Seiya's contract. Seiya has been recruiting since the baseball classic (Yes I know he was injured but they still held his jersey up when they won so he was there in spirit).
  21. Maybe ATL just yeeted themselves out of the race for leaking their involvement. Thanks Morosi!
  22. Yeah I don't think the biggest FA in baseball history needs any leverage
  23. The top guys always holds all the cards because it’s every others agents best interest for their client. Yamamoto’s agent wants the Cubs and Giants to be involved if he signs with the Dodgers. Boras wants the Cubs and Giants in on Berlinger if they miss out. There’s potentially 4-5 teams that were willing to spend 500+ million dollars on one player and agents know this.
