  1. Are we sure the Cubs know you’re allowed to score after the 1st?
  2. That was a meatball right down the pipe. Mo would have hit it 10 rows further back.
  3. I horsefeathers told you Happ should start 😂
  4. So my thought was Boyd is a 38% GB pitcher and the Brewers are a 44% GB hitting team. The only lefty in their lineup with a high pull% is Yelich but he has a 69% GB rate. Their RH power hitters are all pull hitters. Obviously this scenario only matters if Tucker is even healthy enough to play RF. You would also lose Tucker's bat once you replace him later in the game for defense, but backup QB Mo Baller is 2-2 with 4 RBIs in my made up scenario so you won't need to worry about offense when the Cubs are up huge in the later innings.
  5. Nico booted a grounder game 1 that cost the Cubs 4 runs. The Brewers always find a way
  6. Someone bought me spotted cow and I'm torn because I'm not sure if drinking it would curse the Brewers or support them.
  7. I'm not normally a Happ hater and backup QB guy either. I woke up feeling desperate for a win and wanting to see a crazy shakeup.
  8. I totally forgot, I kind of burned that game from my memory. The Brewers were up by 8 at the time though so Peralta was probably just on cruise control.
  9. Boyd has good numbers at home and the wind is blowing in. I like our chances if we can play good defense and don't give them any lucky runs.
  10. If Tucker is healthy enough to get picked off can he play RF? If so I roll the dice for a couple innings and put Seiya in LF, sit Happ, and have Mo DH. Happ has terrible career numbers against Peralta. Start Castro in place of Shaw too. We can't keep having 2 automatic outs in the bottom half of the lineup. Try to get some early runs and put Happ and Shaw back in for defense in the later innings.
  11. PCA actually has good career numbers against Peralta. But the guys hitting behind him are awful
  12. Yes, I would try to put the nail in the coffin if I were them
  13. 5-9 has been absolutely dog horsefeathers outside of a couple big hits by PCA. But having said that. horsefeathers Matt Shaw anyway
  14. Now we score 6 horsefeathers runs just like they did in game 1, right? Right???
  15. I'm sure they are, but we literally employ the same manager they had during Yelich's MVP season. We should either be better at preventing it from happening or be doing it to them as well.
  16. Let's just try to get out of the 1st inning without giving up multiple runs before we talk about an IF game time
  17. I'm over 40 and yeah it's great that things are better than they were before. But if we're just gonna be happy about being competitive once or twice a decade then the 2016 Cubs will be the 1985 Bears. I don't want to be celebrating that as the only championship in my lifetime 40 years from now.
  18. They should not have 2 tear down rebuilds within a 10 year period. They should not be scared of the luxury tax They should be dominating a division in which they are the only big market team and 1 of the teams in the division is one of the worst ran teams in all of sports. It's a division where you're only competing against 3 other teams.
  19. I'm hateful and petty and refuse to believe these guys are suddenly good.
