    Might as well try Shaw leading off for a few games ? I know lineup construction doesn’t matter a whole lot , but just have a different look and see what happens ?

    I wouldn’t expect much next offseason . Jesse Rogers has implied several times that they aren’t interested in signing big long term money deals until they know how the new CBA looks like . ( That will be the excuse ) .

    With the way this team is hitting and 8 of the next 11 againts Tor / Mil / I could see a 3-8 coming . Hopefully the Reds don’t play well the next 2 weeks .

    I know their playoffs odds are really high. It I seen them choke before .

    They will end up losing this division by 10+games 😂. If the Reds get in any sort of good run here , things could get really interesting in a non fun kind of way .

    Hopefully Carter Hawkins goes once his contract is up . They need someone with a more agressive mindset than him with Hoyer . They probably have the most conservative and boring front office in baseball . With that said with Hoyers extension done , I imagine his is not too far behind , unfortunately

    I give this team credit , because the offense broke a lot sooner than September this season . Less painful like this . Funny thing is Tucker is leading the way .

    I pretty much lost all the enthusiasm for the season after deadline , so whatever . Can’t wait for Ethan Roberts or Jordan Wicks tonight . Should be fun . And yes I know the odds of getting into the playoffs are very high via WC . Doesn’t feel like it TBH .

    Velo down and shoulder discomfort . Yup , Hoyer traded for 2 innings of Soroka . They couldn’t even get Charlie Morton . Absolutely pathetic

    7.5 lead over the reds for a WC spot . Just don’t get swept . If the Cubs sweep however , they can pretty much put reds away for good .

    Cubs don’t need a league average bat Kyke Tucker, they need the superstar . If he is hurting it’s going to become a bigger issue as the season goes on . They have Castro now . Cassie / Ballesteros are options . To have Kyle Tucker trying to play with a bad finger is a really bad idea . ( If this is what’s going on

    Never been a big fan of Hoyer but now I am really concerned about him .They are in position to try an win with a star player on an expiring contract and in need of a SP . He goes out and gets Mike horsefeathers Soroka and nothing else . I mean he couldn’t even get a good rental Don’t give me the prices were to high for rentals horsefeathers . Cubs are the biggest losers this deadline IMO . Complete failure to do his job . Some will still find a way to defend this garbage I am sure .

    Obviously an hour and a half left , but as of now the Cubs are probably the loser off this deadline . Getting Houser and Luis Urías won’t make much of a difference .

    From the moves they are making , I am really getting the feeling they will add a top SP with team control tomorrow . We will see .
