    This is better than what usually is available this time of year . Hopefully s new team and better defense helps him . No way they could have just go with Wicks . Needed to do something . Wilson probably replaces Velazquez soon as well ?

    That has been my belief for a long time as well I think he needs to pitch more on the outside part of the plate against righties . If he can locate low and away , home runs should go down . I think at times he gets fastball happy as well and forgets his splitter . Everybody knew he was going to allow home runs , but it has gotten out of control

    Whatever the Cubs are trying to do with Cabrera isn’t working . Maybe he should go back to what he was doing last year . What a dissapointment he has been

    For me , if they can find an arm under control to trade for , they should do it , regardless of how good or bad this team is . I have absolutely no interest in trading for rentals however . This team isn’t worth it for those kind of trades

    The good news with Cabrera despite getting shelled his 1st start of the IL , is that his stuff seems to be back . Needs to execute however

    I am willing to sacrifice defense for offense at this point tbh . Of course if they do it I bet Shaw will cost them a game 😂

    They should IL Nico for a couple of weeks and let him clear his head . Ever since he got hit , he has been atrocious . Let Pedro play 2B . They should IL Swanson for 3 months as well .

    I just checked the box score. Are you horsefeathers kidding me ? Lorenzen has 5 k’s in 3 innings ? This is more than embarrassing . Someone throw a chair in the clubhouse or something . Counsell should punch someone in the face . Come on !.

    They can’t released 12 position players, but if nothing else I think they pretty much have to fired the hitting coach tonight and see if something changes . I am really worried about Bregman now . Alcantara needs to go to AAA . He absolutely can’t get double up on a line drive to the other side of the diamond on that situation . Jed Hoyer has a big mess in his hands with this roster . The good news is that the majority of them will be FA at seasons end .

    The Cubs were completely broke that offseason according to Hoyer . That’s why he was NT .

    I am getting close to checking out for the season tbh . The sad thing is that when the Cubs suck , I don’t watch baseball and with the lockout coming , it’s harder to check out . I don’t see any solution to this . The pitching staff is just atrocious .

    Cabrera just has shown no command whatsoever all year . He just throws too many meatballs

    Giants suck but unfortunately they are getting them at a time when they are hot offensively . Cubs suck bad . Cabrera has been a complete bum
