  1. Taillon had to pulled something because he was at 62 pitches .
  2. Take Horton out now and let Brown finish this .
  3. Anderson is one of those lefties , who I wouldn’t be too upset to start lefties againts him . He has been awful againts righties as well , but againts lefties who depend heavily on changeups , giving them lefty hitters to worry about isn’t a bad idea . With that said Justin Turner is 20 for 40 with 5 HR against him . That’s not small sample . Would expect him to be in the lineup tonight .
  4. Exactly , just too many slumps right now to sustain anything in terms of wins . PCA has been better lately , but no HR . With Tucker and Suzuki going like this , they need PCA to start hitting them over the fence again .
  5. Haha , using OPS over like 4 starts to try and help your argument . That 690 OPS won them a game already . Don’t be ridiculous
  6. Not really because Tucker claims he is healthy . He is just slumping . So if you sit Tucker because he is slumping I think it’s more than fair to question why Suzuki a struggling hitter played over a more favorable matchup based on splits Your likely answer , a sample of 8 AB.
  7. I think it’s more likely that he started Suzuki who has been slumping over a pretty nice sample now , because of the small sample size of Suzuki againts Priester if you ask me . So did Craig start Cassie over Tucker 3 games because he thought Cassie is the superior player then ?
  8. Good for them to find a way to win 3 of 5 , which was probably the best realistic outcome possible . Bats are still a huge problem . Best thing that can happen to them is getting out of Wrigley for a while imo . Looking ahead to the Giants , seems like they will miss Ray , but will get Webb on the last one .
  9. This has absolutely nothing to do with what I was pointing out . Kyke Tucker is clearly the superior hitter above all the players on the field today . That doesn’t make him the best option right now . Counsell thought the small sample of Suzuki vs Priester gave him a better chance over the lefty bat againts a pitcher who has had more problems against lefties . Good for Counsell guess . I would have started Cassie personally , but whatever .
  10. Suzuki is 3 for 8 againts Priester with a HR . Good numbers in small sample Someone already talked about why Castro is starting over Shaw due to Priester ‘s splits . Considering Priesters overall splits , perhaps it would have been a good time to play Cassie in LF . He is going with the small sample results . Hopefully it works .
  11. Looks like Counsell is prioritizing small sample results over Priester ‘s splits by starting Suzuki over Cassie .
  12. I think they should keep Tucker on the bench until Friday . Let him get back on the field while on the road .
  13. On 2nd look that fly ball wasn’t as deep as I thought . Still really good throw by Castro and it had to be perfect with Turang running
  14. How’s the season series looking now ? 4-4 . I know I should look but too lazy right now .
