    Robert Jr not in the lineup after an off day and a lefty pitching . Maybe he is injured , but makes you wonder if he is getting dealt . He has been hitting well lately btw .

    Despite the record , the truth is that this team doesn’t have any quality depth in any particular area . Starting pitching depth sucks , bench sucks . Seiya Suzuki as your backup CF ? Are you kidding me ? He isn’t even good at the corners . John Berti , Vidal Brujan ? I said 2 reliever depending on Pomeranz . He is showing some serious red flags right now . Assad is minor league fodder . Brien and Horton will need to be baby from this point on with innings . With as many rental players that will be available , if Hoyer doesn’t adress everything I listed , yes it’s a dissapoinent . There’s is a fair amount of dead weight on this roster that a team looking to win the World Series should replace . They have enough minor league depth to take care of everything . You can’t make waiver deals after the deadline anymore . Need to take care of everything

    Yeah , I know everybody wants the kid to be the answer , but every time he has a couple of good games , people go bananas . I am perfectly aware of the changes he has been making , so there is reason for hope , but let’s wait and see . I do expect a couple of position player adds . One a 3B and the other one a reserve RH CF .

    I be surprised if that were the case . I could see a Houser type as a 2nd add , but not the main one . I am expecting 2 SP and 1?reliever added ( maybe 2 depending on how they see Pomeranz ) going forward

    While I like Gore , the strikeouts have really gone down . Is this perhaps a sign that workload is starting to get to him ? I did read that last year he did the same thing .

    I just don’t think Alcantara is worth it tbh . Marlins aren’t going to sell low here . If he ends up with the Cubs , people will be really upset at the return Marlins get .

    They still have a pretty good lead over the Giants fue the last WC spot , just in case Milwaukee is just too much to handle .

    They had a cold streak at the beginning of the season . The Cubs are more likely to get a cold streak , considering they haven’t loss 4 games in a row yet . It is extremely difficult to avoid a losing strak in a 162 game season .

    Pomeranz is another dude that is a pretty good candidate to go south . He has been lucky . Don’t get mewrong . He has been ok , but they have to be careful with him .

    Don’t understand why Rea faced Pasquantino there . Off day tomorrow and not much pen was used last night . Rubber game of series . Makes absolutely no sense . Pretty clear Pasquantino and Perez are seen the ball well .

    Trading Amaya really has not crossed my mind , but for the right player , if it helps save a top prospect , I may consider .

    Funny how this works . Lugo is pitching tomorrow againts the Cubs and he may well be pitching next week in a Cubs uniform .

    Turner has a 288 / 338 / 424 againts lefties for the entire year . Good for a 114 wrc . If he is used exclusively againts lefties , I have no problems with him . Hevis just the fans punching bag because people want Busch to play , even againts terrible matchups ( Crochet for example ). I like to see the Cubs add 2 bench bats if they can’t get Suarez ( Willy Castro and an OF that hits lefties and can handle CF ) Cut both Brujan and Berti . If they are looking for guys to mash lefties only for the bench , then Amed Rosario is a good option and shouldn’t cost much
