    I think they won tonight . They are 3 over right now , I believe . All they have to do is get the 3rd wild card spot . They have gone on big 2nd half runs before . I don’t believe they are selling

    Dbacks aren’t selling . That offense is too good to give up . They will probably add a couple of relievers . Suarez ain’t happening .

    Yeah ,, I think it’s time to forget about splitting the lefties at the middle of the order . Swanson needs to hit 8th and stay there . You can afford to get cute when you have good options to do it . Cubs don’t have those . That nice 6.5 lead they have will probably be gone entirely by the end of the week .

    He is cheating to get to the fastball in time and has stop walking as a result . He is a complete mess and simply isn’t ready to hit at this level . Cubs have a huge problem here . Earlier in the season when he was struggling , the team was doing well , so they could let him struggle . Not the case anymore . It was a mistake by Hoyer not adressing the 3B depth , just in case .

    I think the deal they thought was close on Sunday night was with MIA / Pit / Col / Sac . Those were the teams mentioned .

    Levine said that on Sunday the Cubs thought they were close on something but doesn’t look like it’s going to happen right now . Mentioned Marlins, Rockies , A’s . Also said Royals and Guardians could become sellers in the coming weeks as well .

    Levine seems to think Cubs will make a move sooner than later for a SP . Mentioned it could even happen this week . Maybe looking to get a 3B as well in a potencial deal . Something to keep an eye on , I doubt it’s the Dbacks seems to early for them to give up

    That’s a wrap for today . Shaw and McGuire againts Andres Munoz should go well . Not to mention Vidal Brujan and Jon Berti ready to PH on the bench 😂.

    Exactly ,but the problem is that there just isn’t much of anything on the market that can help , unless Ari sells

    If this continues , they will need to get a 3B at the deadline that can give them something on offense . Outside of Suarez , is there someone out there that can help ? Honestly , I can’t think of anybody . 3B is such a weak position around the league .

    Hopefully the Dbacks play bad enough to sell . I give serious consideration to acquiring Merril Kelly and Eugenio Suarez . Looks like Counsell is dead set on having a RHH behind PCA and in front of Busch . Cubs don’t have a good option for that . I like Shaw’s future but in an all in year , wouldn’t mind getting a proven power bat at 3B .

    4-3 vs LA 3-3 vs SD 1-2 vs SF 1–2 vs NYM 2-4 vs Phi 1-2 vs Det IMO those are the strongest teams they have faced so far They went 4-3 againts AZ who look like a favorite for a playoff spot before the season .
