  1. Anybody else feel like Lou's panicky nature rubs off on the players? I started feeling that way last season and it's even worse this year. Guy has one bad day in the field? He's banned. Guy walks a couple of batters but gets out of the inning? Clanup duty for the next 3 months. Guy hits a home run but it only goes into the first row? GRAB SOME BENCH. And that's not even talking about his lineups. "We're going to try Soriano in the 3 hole and see how that works". Then after TWO games, it's "well we tried it, and it didn't work". Uh no Lou, you didn't try it. Seriously, a panicky manager is the last thing this organization needs. It's only going to get worse. Oh, and this whole thing with sending out Rothschild to make the pitching changes needs to stop. Yeah we get it, you're pissed and don't feel like going out. Suck it up and stop acting like a little kid. It's embarrassing.
  2. Now that Heilman's decieving ERA is gone, we can now admit that he has not been good. 8/6 BB/K. That's a whole lot of suck right there. If this team misses the playoffs, it's time for Hendry and Lou to go, period. It's clear that this mix is not winning a championship.
  3. yeah keep laughin it up lindsay
  4. rondo needs to get a forearm to the face before this series is over
  5. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the nba is so fixed
  6. oh look rondo doesn't get ejected. what a joke.
  7. All I saying is that when it is said and done people in October Bradley will have reach his career numbers or surpass them, and the April struggles will be long forgotten. I know but I'm saying that if he ends up with his career numbers, that would be quite a disappointment. 100 something games of an .825 OPS isn't worth what he's getting.
  8. All I know is Scales at 3B can't possibly be a worse situation than Fontenot at 3B and Miles at 2B.
  9. An .830 OPS is an offensive force?
  10. Yup, and I said it was a ridiculous cotnract the second it was signed. I wanted to let him walk. What a terrible contract.
  11. like i said, derosa has shown for 3 straight years that he'll hit. ontenot has only shown that he is capable of hot streaks. plus there's that whole multiple position thing, which is kind of important right about now
  12. Sounds like Aramis is probably going to be DLed. Are we really going to have to deal with Fontenot at 3rd and Miles at second for the next week and a half?
  13. They need to DL someone for him to come up. The problem is, Fox can only play 1B and maybe the corner OF. He's a righty Hoffpauir. There has to be an AL team or 2 taking notice of this guy. He can knock the cover off the ball, and can play multiple positions, though ineptly. Granted, hes on the older side for a prospect, but hes not ancient yet. If only hed take the time to tone up his defensive skills. I'm pretty sure it's not a matter of "taking the time" to fix his defense
  14. how do you blow this game? seriously.
  15. this would be a terrible loss
  16. wow rose is blowing it big time
  17. they really really need to win this now
  18. does rose realize theyre up 4 with 3 minutes left? jesus
  19. Our big league club is a mess, we have guys playing out of position... but hey... at least some mediocre pitchers we got are kind of doing good in the minors!
  20. good to see kane finally burying those open looks.... something he wasn't doing for the last 2/3 of the season
  21. The second best season of Lee's career came the year after the wrist injury.
  22. Who did those guys end up with? Hopefully Lou will have one of his panic moments with Fontenot after tonight's performance and eliminate him from starting third like he did with Hoffpauir in right.
  23. Heilman is still walking a lot of guys and not missing many bats. That's why I said he's been "alright". If he keeps walking as many as he K's, he's not going to end up being very good. As far as DeRo goes, we know he's going to hit. Don't try to act like part of the reason he was traded was because he was a question mark. He's a proven hitter. Fontenot is not a proven hitter. We knew Pie and Cedeno sucked and I didn't even mention them in my post, so I don't know why you're bringing them up. Also, what's with the Dempster/Marquis comparison? Did Marquis just get some huge deal like Dempster did? And no, Bradley is not the only problem with the offseason moves. Giving Miles 2/5 was a problem. Trading for Gregg and his salary is a problem, when you consider we dumped DeRo to save money. Not having any depth is a problem. Trading away Gaudin for a crappy A ball reliever because he had a good spring is a problem. Oh and by the way, if Bradley was really brought in to be the guy who hits RHP, then that's another big problem. Bradley career vs LHP- .302/.386/.502 (.887) Bradley career vs RHP- .269/.362/.435 (.798) Oh look at that. After all that talk about wanting to get more left handed, they take a huge risk on a guy who doesn't even hit righties well.
