  1. Yeah it's early and this is small sample sie stuff, but it's worth noting how disastrous Hendry's offseason moves have been so far. Bradley- Has already been hurt for over half the season, has gotten suspended (questionable, but still brought it on himself), and has gone .043/.267 /.174 Gregg- garbage Dempster- So far has been back to his sucking ways. I thougt when the deal was made that it was a huge waste of money and Dempster has done nothing to change my mind. He looks awful Miles- .100/.182/.100 Heilman- Has been alright, but he's walking a ton of guys like last season and hasn't missed a lot of bats. I think he'll be okay Trading DeRosa (without even getting a major league reliever) and signing Bradley at the same time looked ridiculous at the time and it's already costing the tame. And why, so he could save money to afford Aaron Miles and Kevin Gregg? It's 2 weeks into the season and what everybody knew would happen is already happening and already hurting us. BTW..... Wuertz- 7.2 IP, 2 ER, 7 H, 0 BB, 9 K So yeah, I know it's really early and nothing is proven, but it's still worth noting how much fail has happened with Hendry's moves so far.
  2. I wasn't even saying anything negative. I was just asking if you had heard it somewhere, as the title implied. Relax.
  3. im excited about thomas again
  4. http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090423&content_id=4400106&vkey=news_stl&fext=.jsp&c_id=stl No I'm aware that he injured himself, but nobody has said anything about an ACL yet. That's why I asked if he had heard something or if he was just speculating.
  5. Still just speculation though. They're hoping the pop was just fluid or something like that.
  6. So nobody has even said he has a torn ACL. All they said is he hurt it and that the MRI results won't be known until tomorrow.
  7. Are you just speculating? This is nowhere else.
  8. He's talking about fielding metrics now. This would be a really good move for ESPN. The MLBN really is comically bad with the use of statistics. They use AVG/HR/RBI and that's it.
  9. He was .940 vs righties last year because he was good against everybody. He's not going to OPS .999 here.
  10. Well they looked like crap in the offseason when they were made and.... surprise.... they look like crap now too. This thread may be a little much though.
  11. Well that's relevant.
  12. Are you still going to bash us for criticizing Hendry's offseason moves or are you going to continuie to give him a free pass all season again. Nevermind, I know the answer to that.
  13. He's proven that he has a career .824 OPS. Seriously, I was blasted in the offseason when I had some questions about how good he'd be even when he was on the field. I thought he'd be good, but I don't understand why people were penciling him in to be some awesome offensive threat. I was expecting a high .800's OPS, but it wouldn't surprise me to get like 100 games of an .830 OPS or something trashy like that. YeAh his career .824 is partially because of bad parks, but he always got helped ENORMOUSLY by Arlington last year. So for all the people saying "he's getting his walk, he'll rake eventually..... walk were never the question. He has a career .370 OPB and still only an .824 OPS. He doesn't always hit guys. I was right there on board with you. Bradley's offense has often looked quite good for a center fielder, but he's not playing center field. He's a corner outfielder that posts an OPS a couple dozen points better than Matt Murton's 2006. And he's not on the field much to boot. If it wasn't for this stupid crap about needing a more left handed lineup, we could have just used DeRo in right full time. And we still would've added another lefty in Fontenot. Not to mention that Bradley isn't even good as a lefty. He has a .798 OPS as a lefty and .887 as a righty. Hendry basically added another one of the guys he thought were the problem in the playoffs last year.

  15. Lou is awful And here is exactly what I was afraid of when we traded DeRosa and signed Bradley. Reed Johnson against RHP. Yay.
  16. what is hendry doing to this bullpen
  17. it was the same thing in 2004.
  18. even during an awesome moment you have to be a little bitch Is that really necessary? his post? no. mine was tongue in cheek
  19. even during an awesome moment you have to be a little bitch
  20. i hate evenly split PPs between 2 periods
  21. Saying "oh noez" is as clever and original as your avatar
  22. Need to keep the momentum going
  23. Whatever, you're being really obnoxious. And once again you don't argue any of the points I made. You're right. Khabi isn't playing badly. The Flames aren't outplaying us at all this series. They had no chance in either of the first 2 games. We straight up dominated them. Hawks win in 5. Is that better? I'm not sure I'm allowed to point out anything negative. What point am I supposed to counter? The only thing I took exception to was you declaring the series over. Do I really need to explain to you why we shouldn't just stop watching now? And I'm the one being obnoxious. Uhh, once again, where did I ever say I was going to stop watching or giving up? I didn't declare anything over. I said I don't feel good about it. Never gave up on anything
