    If he was consistently that good he would be a hall of fame caliber player so clearly it was an outlier season for him. But we are comparing him to Jacque Jones and David Delucci and I will be comfortable with him on my team any day over those two. The point is that none of the 3 have had very good careers yet bradley was talked about as some stud hitter all offseason

    So you don't think Bradley's .999 OPS last season in Texas was a fluke, even though he's a career .825 OPS guy?

    i know. that's what we said. Yea I dont know what else you would call it. it's the same thing with his constant hit and runs when we're not scoring, calling out guys when they have one bad game, trying soriano out of the leadoff spot multiple times but only for a game or 2 (and then claiming he actually tried it), bencing good hitters because they make a defensive mistake even though the alternative is clearly worse, etc....

    I've been saying it for a while. Lou is a panic machine, and that's the last thing this team needs. It's not surprising that his teams keep choking in the playoffs. He just keeps getting worse and worse as he gets older.

    I feel sad watching Wood in Cleveland. He's had a rough go of it. Tonight he blew another game... this time blowing a 3 run lead by giving up 4. Went like this- Ground out HR HR Walk Triple Sac Fly :(

    lol sure he is. that was not a risk, it was a stupid ass play. there were 3 guys right in his face. the funny thing is that if he didn't have his standard blowout (seriously, is there a skater who has them more frequently than brian campbell?) he still probably would have been able to get back and prevent the 3rd skater from scoring

    I doubt Lee would want to play in San Diego in a contract year. He has a no trade clause. No way that deal could happen. He is from Cali though so you never know. Although I believe he was upstate a bit in Sacramento. Was originally drafted by the Padres too I believe. But still, he has to know his lack of power would kill his numbers in Petco. Not a good choice before your free agency hits. well he's not going to hit home runs anyways so at least if he went to petco he'd have a built in excuse

    gonzalez away from petco from 06-08 .311/.378/.527 (.905) .295/.358/.570 (.928) .308/.368/.578 (.946) it hasn't been until the last year or so that he's started getting credit for being a great player, but this guy has been legitimately good for several years in a row now. this year he's just on another level. look at his splits this season. almost half of his at-bats have come against lefties this season and he still has an ops well over 1.000. he has an .819 OPS against and 1.224 against righties, so imagine how stacked his numbers would be if he had actually faced a normal amount of righties this season
