Heilman is still walking a lot of guys and not missing many bats. That's why I said he's been "alright". If he keeps walking as many as he K's, he's not going to end up being very good. As far as DeRo goes, we know he's going to hit. Don't try to act like part of the reason he was traded was because he was a question mark. He's a proven hitter. Fontenot is not a proven hitter. We knew Pie and Cedeno sucked and I didn't even mention them in my post, so I don't know why you're bringing them up. Also, what's with the Dempster/Marquis comparison? Did Marquis just get some huge deal like Dempster did? And no, Bradley is not the only problem with the offseason moves. Giving Miles 2/5 was a problem. Trading for Gregg and his salary is a problem, when you consider we dumped DeRo to save money. Not having any depth is a problem. Trading away Gaudin for a crappy A ball reliever because he had a good spring is a problem. Oh and by the way, if Bradley was really brought in to be the guy who hits RHP, then that's another big problem. Bradley career vs LHP- .302/.386/.502 (.887) Bradley career vs RHP- .269/.362/.435 (.798) Oh look at that. After all that talk about wanting to get more left handed, they take a huge risk on a guy who doesn't even hit righties well.
