  1. false harden is also 3 years younger
  2. Yeah. Who needs guys who know what the hell they're doing out there? im pretty sure that players who have gotten to the majors have a pretty good idea of how to play the game. i have a question. did you like the way dusty baker managed an offense?
  3. i watched an interview with canseco on mlbn last night and it was one of the most disgusting things ive ever seen.
  4. You make it sound the Hawks should be afraid. I'm sorry I can't get afraid of the Ducks, I simply can't. There is not a team in the West that the Hawks can't beat. And you could argue the Hawks could beat every team in the NHL. So you're statement, NUN, really should fall on deaf eyes. I don't disrepsect the Ducks, I, and I am pretty sure the Hawks players themselves will agree with what I am saying, just don't fear them. Well I was just trying to point out that the Hawks shouldnt be that down about losing to Anaheim. And also wanted to point out that Anaheim has PROVEN to be a real good playoff team in the last few years. But hey, if you want to believe the Hawks have already proven something, be my guest. the ducks are 8-11 in their last 2 postseasons, and the only series they won was against a san jose team that always chokes. the hawks won more games in last year's playoffs than the ducks did in the last 2 years combined. also, those ducks teams were actually GOOD in the regular seasons of those 2 years. they're not good this season.
  5. is it really even cheating if every team had players who were doing it?
  6. god, college football coaches are such a joke
  7. [expletive] John Grabow. If we had the money to spend, I wouldn't guarantee $10 million a year for Sheets anway. I think he wanted 10-12mil over 2 years, which Id defintiely do. Theres no way in hell hed get 10mil/year after sitting out 2009. That is correct. That was over 2 years. The sad news is that Cubs officials are saying that they can't afford it. That means their payroll situation is tighter than I thought. it was 10-12 each year, not overall
  8. [expletive] John Grabow. If we had the money to spend, I wouldn't guarantee $10 million a year for Sheets anway. I think he wanted 10-12mil over 2 years, which Id defintiely do. Theres no way in hell hed get 10mil/year after sitting out 2009. the mlbtraderumors article misquoted the article they were referring to. he's asking for 2 years at 10-12 mil EACH year
  9. [expletive] John Grabow. well of course his current asking price doesnt fit the budget, or any other team's budget for that matter. 2 years at 10-12 each year is ridiculous.
  10. i don't know if impossible is the right word, but baseball has been around forever and nobody has done it yet.
  11. Okay, this is clearly a well thought out argument. Would you like to elaborate on why, exactly, you think Sandberg would make a good manager? There have been plenty of well-reasoned arguments to the negative, but I have yet to see a single logical reason as to why he would be a good choice. He's fiery Who's to say I do think he would be a good manager? I just get tired of the constant overreactions and bashing every time his name is mentioned. Quite frankly, I'd be nervous if he was hired to replace Lou after this season. ther'es good reason to for the bashing, yet you act like there isn't/ rabble rabble dusty sucks rabble rabble
  12. btw, for the right price, i'd take sheets overall IP and performance from pretty much any of his season other than 2009 (obviously). he doesn't have to pitch close to 200 inning to help the team, and an incentive based deal owuld help protect against overpaying.
  13. texas was going to sign him until they found out he needed surgery
  14. Ravens 24-20 Chargers 27-13 Saints 34-24 Cowboys 23-20
  15. he's not assistant gm. he's an assistant to the gm.
  16. And that list doesn't include 2008 where he was unable to make his last 2-3 starts in the Brewers playoff push as well as unable to play in the postseason. Again, I'm for the move because it's a really high reward. He's one of the top 5-10 pitchers in baseball when he's healthy, but he's not healthy all that much. he doesn't have to make 30 starts to help the team a lot
  17. so he's saying that he used roids, but NOT to help his performance. i'm so [expletive] sick of these half apologies. i'd rather a guy just not say anything then half ass it and make excuses.
  18. wait, so romo has one good playoff game (in the wild card round) and suddenly he's proven himself and is a changed man?
  19. I could see this, and I think their baseball acumen would outweigh the obvious meatball fan pleasing factor Careful. You'll get run out of here with pitchforks and torches if you so much as even mention the possibility of Sandberg becoming manager. yeah its annoying how people dont want a terrible manager with outdated philosphies to run the cubs major league team. these are the same clowns who ran dusty out of town.
  20. i think people are more excited about it just because he's back with the cubs organization.
  21. He hit 49 HR's as a rookie and would have likely still made plenty had he never touched them. He did make more by taking them but he would have still made plenty without them. That said I agree when people like this admit they need to stress the kids more so they understand that it wasn't worth it in the end. Anyways my first reaction was regret that the crazy youtube Cards fan was retired. This video would have been epic. What makes you think his 49 HR's were clean? Pujols will be the next big name when he's caught. ugh
  22. Their record sucks and their goal differential sucks. So far this season, yeah, they've sucked.
  23. Pretty cool that he picked the Cubs
  24. Really? REALLY?
  25. so he's talking about the past
