  1. Aren't all playoff losses amongst the most demoralizing losses you could imagine? Give me an example of a playoff game that wouldn't fall into this category. Would you have rather the Packers not made a comeback? Not picking on you, just wondering, because I always think like that, and if asked that I would say like a 27-17 loss would be better because we'd just be beaten by a better team but at least were in the game and not blown out. But in reality, I'd be picking those moments of close calls that didn't go our way, which happen in every game to make me demoralized beyond belief about what could have been. losing on a fumble in ot after you just missed a wide open reciever for a td that would have ended the game (and after you came back from 21 down in the second half) is a bit different than losing like the eagles or patriots did this weekend, yea.
  2. all i know is that we better destroy columbus on thursday. with the 9 game road trip to end this month, they can't afford to be losing to crappy teams at home like this if they want the number 1 seed
  3. the sharks did it to the blackhawks less than a month ago and it's not as unheard of as youre making it out to be. a lot of the blackhawks shots tonight were pucks that had no chance of going in.
  4. keith has been pretty mediocre since around the time he signed his extension (not saying that's why, that's just around the time i started notcing it) maybe it's because he's become more offensive. i dont know what it is, but he's been pretty soft defensively over the past month or so. lots of bad turnovers too.
  5. oh god just shut up they are outplaying the ducks heavily tonight.
  6. yay for missing empty nets
  7. is sharp at all moveable?
  8. wait, why isnt hossa playing?
  9. oh look, byfuglian missed the net by 5 feet again
  10. what sucks is that they'll have to sit on these 2 losses until thursday
  11. wasn't our night last night, either. this is just [expletive] weird weird weird weird. no, not really. it's called a hockey season
  12. seriously just get byfuglian off this team. how many passes has he missed because he half-assed them tonight?
  13. why do these games always happen against us?
  14. for some reason i feel like the hawks still win this, even though hiller seems to be having one of those games that happens against us so often.
  15. i also wont miss how he constantly shoots from the point and misses the net by 5 feet ugh, why the hell did toews pass that?
  16. i gotta say, when buff's gone i don't think i'll be too sad.
  17. that's what people said after every bad loss the cubs had during the 2008 season. only a fluke team could have a badass record and then free fall. this team is not a fluke. they are the best team in the nhl. the only way they could have a free fall is if they were crushed by injuries. I know, even a "free fall" I wouldn't expect to be devastating, just bad enough that it would be tough to stay in the President's Trophy race upon recovery. The last 3 games by the Hawks, we gave up a 2-0 lead to start the game against Boston, blew a 4 goal game midway through the 3rd period and lost, and now let Anaheim build up a 2-0 lead tonight. Not an impressive stretch of hockey considering what we're used to. first of all, every single team goes through a stretch like this. the 2008 cubs went through like 3 different horrible stretches. and i dont see why you're complaining about giving up a 2-0 lead to boston when we scored 5 straight and won. might as well point out every time this season that an opposing team has scored 2 straight. also, theyre outplaying the ducks tonight.
  18. that's what people said after every bad loss the cubs had during the 2008 season. only a fluke team could have a badass record and then free fall. this team is not a fluke. they are the best team in the nhl. the only way they could have a free fall is if they were crushed by injuries.
  19. kurt warner is such a douche. i really don't know why god loves him so much.
  20. worst wild card weekend ever
  21. i didn't even know he was a free agent. and if vlad's decline continues the way it has over the last 3 years (or if he just puts up the same offensive numbers as last year), then byrd is better.
  22. is that the dude who won that stupid espn reality show like 5 years ago?
  23. those are both amusing, but not as amusing as the faces of everybody on the eagles' sideline as they realize all they needed to do is win one of the past 2 games to advance to the divisional round and they are getting outscored by a combined 58-14 yes all they had to do was to win 1 game, on the road, against a team that is more talented, better than any team they've beaten all year, and a horrible matchup for them. small potatoes. yeah you cant really blme them for getting outscored 58-14 in these past 2 games. that's about all you can realistically ask for... to stay within 7 touchdowns. kudos on a valiant effort
  24. either the cowboys or vikings will be in the nfc championship game disgusting
