  1. Peaks and valleys with this team, on a peak there burying these clowns on the current valley Miami looks like world beaters. I thought taking pitches, grinding out at bats, was the supposed approach? 2017-19 was peaks and valleys. this is just a bigass valley.
  2. Peaks and valleys with this team, on a peak there burying these clowns on the current valley Miami looks like world beaters. I thought taking pitches, grinding out at bats, was the supposed approach? yea but that turned into staring at meatballs right down the middle with your bat on your shoulder I think the main problem with the offense is that the organization is forcing them to take walks even though they have no real discipline. they get walks by deciding beforehand to take pitches. the result is that they pass on hittable pitches, get into deep counts, and then strikeout...because the team also has contact issues. just a completely broken group of hitters that should have never been the offense to start the season
  3. I dont want to hear any of theo's [expletive], because it obviously means nothing. he literally said the offense was broken 2 seasons ago and did absolutely nothing, because hes terrified of saying goodbye to any of his babies.
  4. something oddly satisfying about this
  5. I wonder if the cubs are still chirping
  6. white sox fans don't need to see tatis doing these things on the day they got eliminated
  7. everyone watching knew machado was trying to go back to back and he did it
  8. maybe they ppd the cubs to guarantee they'd have a game to show friday night
  9. if the cubs lose, i'm definitely rooting for the marlins to win the world series. it would be the most embarrassing outcome for mlb and would really highlight how stupid this season (and the 16 team playoff) was/is
  10. why would you say this after your new coach is hired?
  11. white sox are out. reds are out. brewers will be out tonight. just need the astros and cardinals to be taken care of.
  12. Brought in a rookie from the bullpen with the bases loaded up 3-2. Walked two straight batters. he's all over the place. he used dunning for just 2 outs and 15 pitches and then went to the bullpen despite only one guy being on base. then he just started burning through guys like crazy with no real rhyme or reason. that one inning was just a disaster. rodon has been hurt all year and he sucks. and then walking the bases loaded to bring in the rookie. and where is cease?. i know he hasn't been great, but with his stuff, he's a way better option than a lot of this. intentionally walking pinder was the worst part. i can't stand intentionally loading the bases in a close game unless it's an elite hitter. pinder had a .688 OPS this season and is at .732 for his career.
  13. rick renteria is bad
  14. at first I thought this happened after they got swept and he was just trashing himself and the team
  15. so it turns out you should just start your dominant ace in the first game of a long postseason? wild
  16. wtf is this justin turner stuff
  17. suter had 5 walks in the regular season and 4 in the 1st inning of the playoffs
  18. i honestly don't even remember a single moment from that series. all i remember is the nats giving the cubs a bunch of free runs in game 5.
  19. i'm already past the anger and am now just feeling relief that this didn't happen against the brewers or cards or something. losing to the marlins is alright. it properly embarrasses the organization, and we don't have to worry about their fans being annoying about it. cubs get to just slink out in the first round quietly.
  20. And you know what, if that's true it was horsefeathering worth it i think he meant the nlds against the nats
  21. kintzler closing it out is a nice chef's kiss moment
  22. theo's last 2 years fixing the offense:
