  1. The sports media really is more dense than I imagined. Yet another thing for Theo to go home and chuckle himself to sleep over.
  2. No, that's ridiculous
  3. you might want to black out your name Agh, forgot that time
  4. Because it's fun and Ken Tremendous is my facebook picture right now. Post his response please (if he has one). I'm thinking he won't.
  5. Because it's fun and Ken Tremendous is my facebook picture right now.
  6. I will trade anyone on our roster for Morrison. The Cubs need to improve their Twitter HRs. He might lead the league every year in swag
  7. This is my current fb feud:
  8. Given the sample size involved, how can you realistically call that an anomaly? Because everything we know about BABIP suggests it is an anomaly. Some players' abilities are such that they'll lean toward having higher BABIP's than "average," just as others have skillsets that will lead to lower ones. After a certain amount of PAs, it's pretty fair to peg a player as one of those guys. No it's not. Those abilities would manifest themselves at PetCo as well, if they existed. I'm going to kill myself
  9. This really should have ended the conversation. There have been some really horrible analyses of park factors here recently.
  10. We're the most lopsided bowl matchup that doesn't have Boise St in it.
  11. Just like that, the first big name signs on the eve of the winter meetings. Let those dominoes fall. A lack of a NTC is about the least surprising thing ever. Loria's firesales are tough to manage when you start throwing those things around. I wish firesale meant selling things while on fire. hahahaha
  12. Where do you think the Cubs are going to get there bats from this year? They will need to recycle that tree once they pay too much for Pujols laugh out loud mine as well get six more christmas trees while their at it! This is money
  13. Hey Wekse, ever been to Miami?
  14. Loria is probably hoping for that too, though
  15. Yeah, if it seems like guys who were mediocre or worse players tend to make good coaches then a guy who had a legendarily bad stretch of baseball might just be a [expletive] genius. Hell, Neifi might be some kind of coaching mastermind. I'm like 70% sure you're being sincere here, so I'm going to tentatively disagree. I think Counsell benefited from playing in an era that over-valued grit and grass stains and his prodigious lack of talent was over-looked. He also played under some impressively pathetic managers who enabled his slappy bat, poor baserunning and noodle arm to stay in baseball eons longer than he deserved. I think it's that, and nothing more.
  16. Wow, this would be a steal. I'm kinda with trey, though; if Stewart can be had this cheaply, and hasn't been snatched up yet, there is likely something about him we don't know. Or we're looking hard at Headley with Stewart as the backup option.
  17. Dude already kind of covered it. Just wanted to add that Jeffrey Loria is a horrible, deceitful, bottom line-humping businessman who hates baseball and now he's being forced to acknowledge his unfathomable wealth.
