  1. Ctrl + F5 on this bitch all day. This is going to be unhealthy.
  2. "Here comes Cub" is pretty awesome. Somebody photoshop Wendell in there.
  3. Inverted W. Many scouts believe that he's basically on borrowed time until the next injury.
  4. Are we using BB's scale?
  5. Couldn't find a video but here's a photo (spoilered for size). He slid way late and his left leg never got close to touching the bag. If it was soccer, Pierzynski would have been given a straight red. If it was football he would have been called offsides. I don't know what you mean, but it had the cadence of a joke.
  6. If your point is that Hendry would have been good if not for injuries, then you really aren't conceding any weaknesses on his part, and thus you shouldn't be listened to. Every GM has injuries, every GM makes several good trades (in ten years! I think I saw FIVE trades listed. Give him a medal) and every GM makes good and bad signings. Hendry's strengths were less and his weaknesses greater than a "good" GM. (And this is not to mention his reactionary attitude toward sabermetrics.)
  7. What the hell? I can't tell the difference between Jersey and neely in this thread.
  8. I really, really hate RsBI. It and wins are the two statistics someone has to quote for me to completely stop listening to them. Then again, it's by far the easiest to ignore of the stupid ones, and it's dying a faster death than some of the others. Meh.
  9. Theo's kinda folksy in this hypothetical. I like it.
  10. Prior jokes are never funny, with the exception of this one.
  11. Prior, what's Correa expected to move to? 3B/RF? If he moves at all it's 3B, where he could develop into a Ryan Zimmerman-esque player. Just to toss it out there again...Always hoped that Baez's next position after SS is 2B. From what I've heard, his arm is too good to put him at 2B. I've heard it's going to be a big part of his defensive value.
  12. Why is that? I thought that's what he was supposed to be.
  13. It would be a bummer if those were the top 5 off the board. I'd go Almora in that situation.
  14. That's probably worthy of an Onion article.
  15. And that would probably make me the happiest.
  16. I will officially be happy with any of 8 guys when we pick.
  17. A lot of these stats suggest our pitching has been worse than our offense. Is our bullpen really that bad that it's canceling out our relatively awesome starters?
  18. YES! Tenth pitch of the AB. No getting unlucky on that ball in play.
  19. That's like thinking the Garza trade was a mistake at the start of last season because of the hot start that Fuld got off to. Except Garza has actually had a decent MLB career and has upside. Ian Stewart played in Colorado and was a pretty ineffective baseball player. I'm not saying Colvin is a God or anything, just at this point this trade looks bad. I was never unhappy with the Garza deal anyway so I am not comparing the two deals. The point of the Stewart trade is his upside. The point of the Colvin trade is that there is literally nobody you regret trading Colvin for.
  20. Does Correa have more projectable power right now than Almora and Buxton? He's built like Jeter already.
  21. Wow, yay to all of this. Exciting day in the system.
  22. ITT: Idiots hate Ian Stewart
  23. Garza had approximately 5 more seconds to set himself before he threw that ball.
