  1. At least we'll have your superior moral character to guide us should that time come. I'd rather just [expletive] on the lot of you when you act like ridiculous children We're not allowed to be pissed when it looks increasingly likely that a very good trade for us is not going to happen because Dempster is not willing to do something he had previously indicated (reportedly, of course) that he would be willing to do? Is it cool for him to waste the FO's time/energy too? This is just a negative response to your delayed gratification. People are already super mad that he'd dare take 24 hours to make the decision, regardless of what it is. I'll be annoyed when he blocks the trade, but you guys are freaking out over hypotheticals and/or failing to understand why a human would need 24 hours to decide whether he wants to move across the country to live in shitty Atlanta.
  2. Well now I'm rooting for him to accept the trade so you have to be annoyed by our celebration. That was kind of funny

  4. Now i'm almost rooting for him to block the trade so all you fucks lose your [expletive]. You're embarrassing.
  5. This is the worst thing I have ever read or seen. It's immature, petulant, meatbally and vaguely homophobic. Thanks for setting a floor for the worst possible discourse to be had in this thread.
  6. Face it, you blew it trying to be cool. That wasn't my point and you know it. As I said in my post, not only is he the greatest shortstop in Yankee history, he is among the best, all time at his position. How in the [expletive] can he be overhyped? Try as I might, I can't even begin to guess what you mean by this. Except that you're a crazy person.
  7. It can't be a great feeling, if I'm Demp, to have to hear a deal reported as being done on Twitter before you've had the chance to let it sink in. I'd drag my feet, too, in the interest of keeping what little power I had left.
  8. Kaplan's just pissed he didn't break it. "MY source is better...I'll let you know when the deal OFFICIALLY goes down."
  9. Thanks for letting us know! I was responding to somebodies comment smart ass! Too many arrogant [expletive] on here The original post you are replying to was sarcasm. Hard to tell what is sarcasm and what is not... Then you probably shouldn't say obvious things and then mouth off to mods, just to be safe
  10. Delgado seems to have been rushed recklessly through the minors. 20 innings at AAA before a callup to stay at 21? Just why?
  11. Delgado would make me very happy. I would not have guessed we'd get a guy from anyone's big league rotation not named Eovaldi.
  12. If JeffH is only sort of freaking out about it, I feel pretty good right now.
  13. If the Red Sox offered him a "big" contract extension, I'd change my mind about how I use my brain to think about things.
  14. If that counts (and it probably shouldn't, because the obvious implication is favorite over-the-top deadline moves) but a big freaking star next to the Sean Marshall fleecing. And that was the second best trade of last offseason. Very true.

  16. IIRC, Hill had been wearing some weird shoes at the time and they were making a big deal about it. Actually, they're talking about them at the start of the clip. Yes, yes, we know. It was a terrible call, since it suggested that the painful non-sequitor they were discussing was somehow a cause of his mammoth home run. It was bush-league, terrible announcing and it should be derided as such.
