  1. It helps that the Brewers are among the league leaders in IP by starters (meaning their bullpen has thrown fewer innings than just about everyone else), but I agree that it seems to be pretty unsustainable. There's something to be said about winning close games, but 24 of their 74 wins being by 1 run is pretty ridiculous. And maybe I'm being a bit of a homer here (and feel free to call me out on it if this is silly) I think you've been far from a homer. I have actually enjoyed reading the objectivity in your posts, and I hope you continue to share with this board. werd
  2. He's also been one of the luckiest players in the majors, crappy LD% notwithstanding. Happy about his isoD though
  3. what does the author mean by "vertical rise?"
  4. I noticed this quite a bit earlier in the season. The adjustment would make sense if he's trying to pull the ball more (as it probably makes him quicker through the zone), but we all know he would rather hit weak bloopers to shallow RF.
  5. I chuckled. So Hamilton's heroin addiction was about the best thing to happen to the Reds/Rangers in the last ten years or so. Awesome.
  6. the beer they brew Ha... fair enough (hey, I'm from St. Louis). Although damned if I don't love a good PBR, because I am a douchey hipster (it's really not a Milwaukee beer anymore, but whatever). You should try Lakefront beer. It's the only good beer in Milwaukee.
  7. how can carlos lee, brian giles and renteria not be on this list? I don't hate any of those other guys. HM to augie ojeda
  8. I figured all these guys would be in the same league. You know, like the title suggested. Webb and Haren and the choice wasn't particularly difficult.
  9. What does this even mean? I was expecting a good ole fth!? type response to that one and you didn't disappoint
  10. I want to know if the other guy was being serious or not
  11. this is unbelievably ignorant if sincere
  12. So we want him to be a late inning, defensive replacement for Lee? Im thinking vice versa. what in the
  13. does that guy before feel any different about the zone now
  14. I can't help but feel that arroyo didn't pitch that well tonight but just benefitted from a jumpy, impatient cubs offense today
  15. I'm gonna be so pissed when we lose this game
  16. I'm going home to Chicago just in time to catch this game \:D/
  17. Soriano and Soto homer and Theodore goes 7 IP 2 ER. Cubs win 6-2.
  18. Hey, if we're not good enough for you, I'm sure they'll love you at cubs.com You are not very smart. But, hey, keep posting. Both of you knock it off. There is no attacking of other posters allowed at NSBB. Uh-oh, daddy's home
  19. If you think I'm complaining, you seriously misread my post :D
  20. Hey, if we're not good enough for you, I'm sure they'll love you at cubs.com You are not very smart. But, hey, keep posting. ? I was just giving you an opportunity to be among people who think like you
  21. Hey, if we're not good enough for you, I'm sure they'll love you at cubs.com
  22. First of all, I'm not surprised that you are siding with the person who now holds the title for NSBB's dumbest argument. Secondly, any merit to the base argument for Soriano as MVP was completely destroyed by the OP's pigheadedness and his insistence on following W/L stats without Soriano exclusively, while ignoring rational discussion using real stats that ACTUALLY determine MVP candidacy. Eh, that was sort of unnecessary. Maybe, but it was FUN
