    Holliday in left and Soriano at second would make more sense than Fox at third, but no, ultimately I don't want that. Much like with Fox, I think the severe downgrade defensively would mostly overcome whatever offensive gains we would make. Plus, I think Holliday will be rather expensive prospect-wise. Yeah, with 5+ teams interested he won't be cheap. Aren't we also talking about a significant downgrade in left if we replace Soriano with Holiday? We need to get Colin Wyers in here to tell us that we'd be better off with a lineup full of Joey Gathrights than our lineup as currently constructed.

    Slugger's had a really good burger back in the day Agreed. Their BBQ bacon cheese burger was pretty tasty. Stupid flood. That's the one I was thinking of. The owners' daughter was in my hs graduating class. Good times

    Eh I didn't really make myself clear there. My point was that the ump was squeezing the strike zone smaller the more demp argued and it came to a head when they yelled at each other. Once demp leaves, there is no grudge and the ump shows he could've called a decent game had he chosen to do so.

    The ump started calling the corner as soon as Demp left the game. I think he really pissed him off during their little exchange in the fourth. As for Lou's managing, I would be really interested to hear what Trammell thinks of some of these moves. Anybody have an idea as to what kind of "veto" influence a bench coach has in these borderline situations? I think (and hope) that Trammell would disagree with some of these but decide it's not his place to offer a contrary opinion. Lou had me scratching my head all game today; I have to believe that not all of the coaching staff were in support of Ascanio hitting for himself before leaving in favor of Cotts.

    To be fair Braun is not a good fielder to put it kindly. Though this list probably had all of nothing to do with someones all around game. Yeah, of course he isn't, but he doesn't cost you many more runs hidden in left than Jeter at short. Not the best example, I'll admit, but it's total bs that he's not top 25. And ftr, I hate the mfer

    Jeter #8 is particularly disgusting, while the general east coast bias is troubling. Just because you don't know who the [expletive] Ryan Braun and Zack Greinke are doesn't mean they aren't outstanding players who might both belong in the top ten
