  1. Damn....this would be a crappy loss after Sori finally comes through... It happens so infrequently lately, it'd be a shame to waste it...kinda like a good outing from a pitcher called up from the minors
  2. Really? That came out of left field... Uhhh..... :D
  3. Who's this new kid who just went oppo?????
  4. For the love of god Milton.....come through ETA: I was stupid for wishing this^^^
  5. He split Harris I think. I think he (Harris) is now a she...can't believe it didn't crush his manly parts
  6. Koyie must think he's Yadier now...nice play
  7. Supposedly their potential to produce to their career numbers..... They both look so bad, I personally wouldn't mind playing at least 2 games in a row with almost anyone but them in the lineup Right now Bradley is basically a three outcome hitter: walk, a strikeout, or a single. For a guy that is being paid to provide power that is unacceptable. And Soriano, I've run out of things to say about him. If the Cubs want to win they need to bench Soriano for a long period of games. I don't give a damn about his contract, his play is hurting the Cubs, and Piniella has to think about the team as a WHOLE instead of an ego on the one. Yeah, I should've been more precise, Re: Milton... I'd like to see him in the 2-hole, getting on base infront of DLee & Rammy; I was too harsh saying he should be benched
  8. LOL...Kosuke so used to running full speed to the wall, he turned around hard on that shallow fly by Morgan
  9. Supposedly their potential to produce to their career numbers..... They both look so bad, I personally wouldn't mind playing at least 2 games in a row with almost anyone but them in the lineup
  10. Sori just couldn't stand that his OBP was exactly @ .300 before that A B..took matters into his own hands & K's
  11. Wow, that ball was smoked...nice catch Kosuke
  12. Len & Bob saying Demp threw from the mound today & claimed he could've started tonight...feels very good
  13. Wow...very unexpected... Make it a game boys! And keep the ball down Randy!
  14. [sigh] Sad to say, I don't think the Cubs can score 4+ runs tonight barring defensive miscues buy the Nats like on Thurs night
  15. This kid looks like he has a good fastball....several late swings
  16. As hard as the Nats have hit the ball this inning, I'd take only giving up 2
  17. wut? what he's saying is that sosa wasn't a great hitter as a cub, despite his .284 batting average and .569 slugging percentage as a cub. Yeah, I was just trying to wrap my mind around the post.... I assume Sosa, regardless of production, just wasn't a "pure" hitter.....I guess? Not that I even know what a "pure" hitter even is.... IMO, about the only defensible thing in his post is his opinion about Pujols...and I can see a reasonable argument for A Ram..... Oh, & Ted Williams could hit in ANY era, thank you very much.
  18. Boring game, Cubs offense still concerns me, but they won so I'll save my complaining for another day
  19. Haha I was gonna say the same thing. Were this game telecast on ESPN, you know the announcers would've made the same observation
  20. Yeah, Kosuke took a couple head-scratching routes early in the season, but he's been pretty damn good lately GREAT catch Hoff!!
