Setting aside the 'injured defensemen' part, I don't know if there's a better option for goalie going into next year. We basically got Lehner, after an incredible season, at the end of free agency for not all that much money. Don't know how much better we can do than Crawford, who is having another really good year. I don't know if there is a better option, but I do know that just coming back with the same crowd and getting nothing in trades is wasting years of hockey. Yeah, ideally you strip it down today, see what you can get for Crawford, and then bring him back over the summer with hopefully a better draft pick after you give up 7 goals a game the rest of the way. Going into 2020, I don't think Crawford will be the reason the team most likely doesn't go anywhere. Need to figure out how to put a defense together that won't give up 45 shots a game.
