  1. Just in case anybody was wondering, the webcast is up and working.
  2. Rob thanks for the detailed PBP. Unfortunately I don't even have mouthwash to offer you, let alone Scotch.
  3. I have another question. What if after the home run the Cubs brought in a different pitcher; would all the runs he gives up after that be considered unearned? If so, I want that gig.
  4. He gave up a homer with the bases juiced Izzy with another hit so if the inning would have continued and more runs scored, would they be considered earned, as well? After the HR, because the HR is on Woody. Ok, I assumed once there were two outs and there was an error all runs scored in that inning from that point were unearned. Thanks.

  6. Why is it an earned run when there were 2 outs and an error?
  7. I love it when Beer Here starts having conversations with himself.
  8. It sounds like he's getting hit hard.
  9. He just called Vargas, Aquino though. and said Cedeno was going to be our starting 2b. But definitely better than yesterday
  10. are you getting a link? If not, I had to click on one of the other games to get to the Cubs game.
  11. If I have Game Day Audio, do I get spring training games? It automatically renews, correct?
  12. Clines did do some good things... wasn't he the one responsible for altering D-Lee's stance/approach to the plate that lead to his breakout 2005 season? IIRC, D Lee got his stance from studying Richie Sexson.
  13. I think the clock starts after the pitcher gets the sign from the pitcher, but I don't know that for sure.
  14. Noah existed. The ref has to handle the ball first, so no matter who's holding it there's no reason for Noah to flip out and try to get it back. Then there's the matter of it being the opposing coach with the ball, which anyone with a modicum of common sense knows you don't instigate anything with during the game. PS- I thought I already made this post, but apparently I didn't. So if you see something similar in a Soriano thread or something, there you go. this was after a made basket, right? i didnt realize the refs handle every basketball before the inbound in this situation. i just thought the other team grabbed it and went. which makes me think the coach was being an ass, not noah this time. its delaying the inbound pass, and slowing the game. I'm pretty sure it was a loose ball out of bounds.
  15. Does anybody know why Soriano has his bat taped?
  16. THT article from last year regarding left handed catchers.
  17. It's great to hear, from a pitcher who relied so heavily on striking out batters in the minors, that there's value to saving pitches. He just figured this out? Did Greg Maddux need to tell him this? yeah, what a loser. i wish he were dead. Lame. Let's all go forward on this thread, please? Thanks. We must move forward, not backward, upward, not forward, and twirling, always twirling toward freedom!
  18. Right, the Bears are just happy to be there. That must be why they have a giant banner that says FINISH at their hotel. I'm really happy that we don't have some homer jagbag like Simmons embarrassing himself and the city on ESPN.com. As opposed to writers from the Chicago papers (Jay Mariotti comes to mind immediately) routinely doubting and dissing the Bears week after week and never giving them respect. Unfortunately, we Chicago fans have only ourselves to blame for Mariotti. It's the readers who continue to read the guy, giving him carte blanche to spew his mindless rantings every day. Once he was proven 100% wrong about the White Sox in 2005 it should have been his waterloo. I'll never understand why so many people continued to read his column after that. His legs were completely cut off; it was a complete and total 'emperor has no clothes' moment, but even that didn't kill him. I personally apologize to the world for Mariotti. It is always humorous though when someone goes back and makes a time line full of all the times he was wrong and contradicted himself.
  19. I think Moose/Hester/Bradley/Davis would cause more headaches, but I still don't see the Bears bringing out the 4 WR set for the Super Bowl. You'd take Berrian out of the mix? He's the Bears #1 receiver. Oops. Sorry, I meant Berrian instead of Hester. In my defense it was early. Fixed it.
