  1. No...Lou said on pregame he is now playing best lineup to win that day. Not sure how that should be any different than usual, but I'll take it to mean the traditional platoons may be over.
  2. His release point isn't that far down, actually. It's not very consistent from start to start, but it's not significantly lower now than it was earlier this year. 2 or 3 inches lower at most according to the graphs on brooksbaseball.net. But maybe 2 or 3 inches is significant. Not knowing much about mechanics, two to three inches sounds huge to me. Yes, that is significant.
  3. You're tired of rain? Try being in south mississippi the last couple of days. LOL. He lives in Louisiana. Not making fun of you witty....but totally hilarious.
  4. I have a few extra bleachers for today's game if you know anyone who wants em...$50 pitchcs03@yahoo.com
  5. Enjoying what I'm assuming is a vacation, Fred? Oh, you can find them Fred. For NFL football they are open at like 6 am out there.
  6. Rained a tad. It's actually partly sunny right now.
  7. He's also been one of the luckiest players in the majors, crappy LD% notwithstanding. Happy about his isoD though Theriot's BABIP is right in line with his LD%. How has he been lucky? Well when you don't know how to properly use those stats, it's really easy just to quote them so you look like you know what you are talking about even if you are just spewing venom. And back on topic, I really haven't noticed a change in Theriot's batting stance. I thought I did a few days ago, but I really think it's just an illusion because he's been wearing that protective shield over his ankle/shin.

  9. Yeah, I don't wake up before 11:00 so I guess I'm not really in line to start any afternoon game threads.
  10. Finally home from the crappy road trip, Zamby takes on Scott Olsen who is known to give up the long ball. Should be great weather tonight as well. http://graphics.jsonline.com/graphics/sports/brew/img/may03/car514.jpg VS. http://s2nblog.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/scottolsenmug.jpg Some of Z's stats: Overall: 2.98 ERA Home: 2.25 ERA Night: 2.63 ERA July: 2.21 ERA Post ASG: 5.68 ERA Career vs. FLA: 2.54 ERA Career @ Wrigley: 3.43 ERA Some of Olsen's stats: Overall: 3.84 ERA Away: 4.93 ERA Night: 4.04 ERA July: 6.00 ERA Post ASG: 5.40 ERA Career vs. CHC: 3.80 ERA Career @ Wrigley: 3.60 ERA The numbers once again point to should-be success. Let's continue this thing.
  11. I think some of the cable providers are offering a free preview through early next week as well.
  12. You saw that correctly, Marmol is replacing Kerry.
  13. That guy in green had to be the most annoying fan in the world. And I think someone needs to tell Joe Morgan that Blanco was the catcher today, not Soto. John Miller should've corrected him after the first few times he said it. That guy in the green is sitting in that seat during EVERY White Sox game (thinking maybe some relation to Reinsdorf). Very annoying.
  14. Ugh. Gallagher looks atrocious. Side note: Mark Grace is even more atrocious
  15. True. Why was I smart enough to insert Johnson in the leadoff spot vs. a lefty, but then completely forgot when it came to selecting a LF. You're right Murton over Hoff Probably because your mind was thinking, "Why would Murton ever get a start?"
  16. Todd Walker vs. the Sox a few years ago. It was too complete the sweep as well. Yep. Sunday night ESPN game and it was a pitchers duel between Rusch and Buehrle That was a walk. Oooh, good call. Pretty much the same thing in my eyes I guess.
  17. Todd Walker vs. the Sox a few years ago. It was too complete the sweep as well.
  18. You're judging this off of 14 Major League at-bats? his name I'm judging this on the basis that he has never shown me anything to get excited about or to make me believe he can succeed at this level. He is very "Corey-like" and brutal to watch play baseball.
