  1. strikes out too much. ahhh...well...i guess that means we will take him! Doesn't he have fairly low BB totals as well? My question is, how likely is Jackson to turn into another Harvey? Probably not the best person to answer this, but would Colvin be a fairer comparison? I just think if Harvey had gone to college, his problems would have been identified.

  3. That guy Houston picked has .255/.310/.350 written all over him.
  4. Oh please don't let this mean the Cubs are taking Jackson.
  5. Bud reminds me of Martin Landau's character from Entourage....just sorta a buffoon
  6. Yeah Vance, I had said a friend told me she thought his wife had a miscarraige a few weeks ago, but I'm sure this is what my friend meant. Ryan is a great guy and has a great family I'm sure. Here's to hoping she's doing bettter.
  7. I actually thought Fox looked pretty bad in his first 4 swings at the plate yesterday. He was getting fooled by those changeups but managed to work the count and foul weakly some pitches off before driving that fastball well. It's only Lee's 2nd game back..he doesn't need another rest. They might decide to rest Bradley one of the next 2 days though with the night game/day game and so Fox might be able to get a start in RF. I thought so too CCP. He was down 0-2 quick and came back to 3-2 on some pretty poor pitches. Let's go w/ Lee right now
  8. The problem with middle IF's in general is there aren't very many good ones.
  9. Shouldn't be too much of a concern. Could be Fox's season debut, but he had 15 PA's in 2007.
  10. No, but it definitely sets a market for him. Basically 2 top pitcing prospects and 2 PTBNL. Unfortunately, we dont have the 2 top pitching prospects. Wed have to see if Marshall and J jax would constitute that. If Shark didnt have that NTC, it could be a different story. Clayton Richard is a not a top pitching prospect. Pretty much this. Jackson + Marshall would measure up to Poreda + Richard pretty well. Except that Poreda is pretty much considered the best of those 4, no?
  11. Gavin Floyd sucks, just thought I'd point that out.
  12. Typically about an hour before game. May be a tad earlier tonight though since there was an off-day yesteday.
  13. Wow, Nats pitching stats must be terrible. That O ain't half bad
  14. Sean Gallagher not fairly well tonight. Or fairing
  15. Nice pictures Fred, good time today.
  16. Pretty sure I just saw Vance on Comcast at the Meet the Team Have a Ball thing.
  17. The Bears are definitely souring on Vasher. It sounds as though they are not comfortable with him as a starting CB at this point.
  18. I'm pretty sure there is just something constantly wrong with Harden. The Cubs know this, we know this; it is what it is I guess.
  19. Your work sounds like a prison
  20. Another terribly played game today. Kevin Hart looked atrocious in his inning of work, 3 BB and Grand Slam. Marshall was a bright spot as well as Neil Cotts and Jose Ascanio. Not much to report on the offensive side. Thanks for making my trip so enjoyable Cobs.
  21. Very sloppy game yesterday. Terrible defense from the Cubs, although the box score might not show it. Lee fields a ball in the first with Kemp on 3rd and immediately throws it home...unfortunately Kemp wasn't attempting to score. Dumb. Theriot looks terrible as usual at SS, bouncing throws to first on 2 different occassions. Miles' arm is kinda a joke from 3rd. And whoever pitched yesterday (other than Demp) don't belong in professional baseball. Off to Milwaukee's park for the game today. Will try to post notes in game thread.
