    Well, I had a 30:1 on Michigan last night for $30 that I put in last spring. No money there, but did pretty well in brackets overall, losing by 1 point for three second place finishes. There was really no doubt in my mind for the past 4 months that Louisville was going to win the title. I would have predicted this exact game last spring but faded on Michigan at the end of the year due to poor D. NC State was a team I was way off on.

    I will be getting drunk and sitting in my new seats in Section 416. This is my 10th opening day, '04-'13. 9:52 am, girlfriend at work, dog sleeping...popping some champagne and listening to the new Knife album. Great day.

    We've got an optimistic Iowa basketball fan in here.

    If you want to be right downtown for a bar, I'd suggest Scotty's or Kilroy's. While I don't love either, both will be full of basketball fans and are the best of subpar bar options downtown (if you have more time this weekend, the Mass Ave area is much better for food/bars, and is in the downtown area too). Thanks, went to Scotty's. Decent place, fine for before the game.

    I wonder what gave them a shot in the arm in 98... the 97 team was awful. RF went from 99 OPS+ to 160 Went from -6 pyth to +5 pyth Kerry Wood I thought it was a steroids joke.

    I could be tempted to drop Strasburg and then just pick him back up or go pitching early. Your lineup would already be nasty & versatile (HR/SB).

    Yeah, don't really understand it. Where does Minnesota go from here? I mean they only lose Rodney Williams and Mbakwe, so there's some solid guards left there. I think recruiting has not been great though, I'm guessing Tubby is not a huge fan of that part of the job?

    Yes, let's pour some out for brethren from Kankakee I do not live in Kankankee, but Tim has a point. Going to Wrigley is a nightmare at times if you are driving in from out of town. In from out of town as in, Elmhurst or Rockford or Des Moines?
