  1. How is assuring the correct outcome on the field "awful?" Have you ever watched an NFL game? Most challenges take 5 minutes and 75% of them confirm the call on the field, and they most definitely do not "assure" a correct outcome. Very few NFL challenges take 5 minutes. And if it means the correct call is on the field, whether it confirms or overturns the refs call, then as a football fan I'm ok with that. For the playoffs I'm fine with it, but not the regular season. 3 challenges or whatever a game is complete lunacy. Talk about turning even more people away from the sport, this is just one step in that direction.
  2. Encouraging. In that vein, early indications are optimistic with respect to Ks: 33.9 K% July, 20.6% K% thus far in August. Also, yesterday's Baez HR. Clip includes a look at his swing from the first base side. Seconds 43-45 should probably be a GIF. That ball was a majestic, soaring blast.
  3. You've now mentioned the DH in the NL about 50 times
  4. Just don't see it. At least not total busts.
  5. Yeah, just like managers running out of the dugout and bickering with umpires for no [expletive] reason. Cause that happens so often. You better believe they will start taking advantage of this new rule even if they don't think they will win the challenge. I mean if you have them why not use them?
  6. Yes, and they are SO easy to unload for AT LEAST face value if you can't make it or don't want to go. I'm a Bears PSL holder and do go to about 7 games a year. I leave my condo in Lakeview at 8:30, tailgaiting by 9:30 and home before halftime of the afternoon games. Cold weather really only comes into play 2 games a year or so.
  7. So 6 total challenges available each game? Jesus, that sounds awful and time consuming.
  8. Never understood how NFL games don't sell out in every city.
  9. Any word on PT tonight? I'd have to think the first team offense goes mid-way into the 2nd quarter?
  10. I don't think Green Bay counts. New Orleans didn't give a crap about the Saints, or sports in general until 5 years ago, and that was with no competition for local hearts. Cleveland is most likely correct, and I don't know anything about Baltimore. if you consider Wisconsin a city, it totally does. As far as New Orleans, yeah, they needed to get good to beloved, but they are loved. I also forgot about Seattle. Times are a changing my friend. I see sounders stuff (hats, shirts, jackets and their season ticket scarves) on people at least 2/1 over seahawks crap and much more than that over mariners. You can't reserve baseball fields in local parks during the summer bc they're almost universally being used for soccer all day long. This here is a soccer town. Lmao, Gross.
  11. Can someone please photoshop a Mt. Rushmore of Bryant, Baez, Almora and Soler?
  12. What is a big free agent anyways? Do you want Hamilton and Pujols?
  13. With him coming off TJS, I doubt it. Maybe Villanueva? Solid arm at 3B, blocked by a myriad of options.....Same with Gioskar Amaya. Although I'm not sure Amaya would have the arm strength. I didn't even know what Bruno's injury was, oops. Can't believe they'd try to convert an upper-level guy like Villanueva. I don't want it to happen, but Jeimer would seem to be an okay/logical choice. Given his age, being blocked by multiple guys, wanting to find a place for his bat to play as he advances with potential other 3B (Bryant/Baez, Villanueva, etc.). etc.. Yeesh, I dunno about that. Trade seems much more logical.
  14. Bizarre-o Biggio?
  15. God I hate playing golf. Expensive Hot Takes Forever No hot chicks Need to practice a [expletive] ton Gets me pissed off Stupid clothes /back to bears
  16. Those names look tasty.
  17. Reds pitching makes this guy envious....
  18. Also, I don't see how one of DeJesus or Schierholtz isn't traded in the offseason.
  19. Fujikawa for the Bullpen??
  20. I'll team Team #1 if available.
  21. How many more years do we have to play this game with Webb before they finally realize he has talent but is wildly inconsistent and is bad more often than good? I mean we dump Williams and Carimi, first round picks with bigger cap hits like nothing but Webb gets chance after chance. He obviously at least has great size and some practice talent if Lovie, Tice, Trestman, etc. all saw him as 1st team at one/most points, but he's just gotta be a terrible film study & effort guy to blow away these chances.
  22. Well, this should be interesting at the least.
