  1. Who cares? They were forced to go to a play and acted how they were raised, poor and uneducated...did we expect something more?
  2. Even worse than my extremely low expectations thus far. Dan Guerrero is just an awful AD. That much is becoming quite clear. I mean it's UCLA, why all the settling for mediocrity? The more time passes since the school was elite, the less weight the name will carry with potential recruits. While I agree, in the last 8 years they produced 8 Final Fours and produced 2 of the top 10 players in the NBA. They aren't what they were, but I don't think anyone can be that now. Well no, obviously no one is going to be the Wooden era Bruins, but UCLA is a program that should be on the Duke/UK/Kansas level far more often than not. It just seems like it's been hit and mostly miss lately. And like the elites, they should be poaching the top coaches/coaching prospects in the sport, not hiring guys like Steve mf'ing Alford. Nobody wants to play out west. Late games, no audience, less fanfare, less hype, less interest.
  3. I've been out of the loop on Purdue basketball stuff for awhile, but who are the other 3? Marcius to DePaul, Lawson to Appalachian State, Anthony Johnson to Northern Illinois I didn't even know about Lawson. Jay Simpson should be able to jump into his spot, but it sucks to see Lawson out. I liked Hale too. I've always been a big fan of Painter's, but at what point to you start to question what's going on. I would rather not believe that Painter is forcing players out, but that is a lot of players transfering. Wow, what a bust Anthony Johnson has become. Was never impressed with what I saw out of him at Whitney Young. He looks like he's eleven years old.
  4. Mat Gamel once made something like 282 errors at Triple-A in a month.
  5. I check into this thread once a year to throw around some hate and this year will be no different. How in the hell is this crap sport back again already? I will be rooting for whoever the Blackhawks are playing just so the season will end sooner.
  6. I don't think so. Did you see the Saints vs. TB? Totally different team outside of that dome.
  7. Where did you hear this ? I saw Jesse Rogers tweet it.
  8. I've said it before and I'll say it again, screw jobs in fantasy are easily avoidable if you get yourself in a non-head to head league.
  9. Wow the Rams are not good. Expected more out of them this year.
  10. Yikes....Choo I guess, because it's the least amount of $$? Didn't realize Ellsbury has 52 SB against 4 CS. Impressive. All three will be entering their age 30/31 seasons and two come with past injury history. Cano is easily the best player but he's bound to have a significant drop off in the next couple years and 10 years is insane. Not gonna happen and I'm happy with that. I think $40M is a pretty big difference between Choo and Ellsbury compared to what they actually bring to the table.
  11. Love Houston and Atlanta as home dogs this week.
  12. I think this one may get ugly. 31-13 Bears.
  13. Excitement abounds in the minor league forum today.
  14. Nope, that team is me. I'm fairly happy with that considering auto-pick. I can make some moves to adjust accordingly.
  15. I'll say Bryant, Green, Jones, Marshall this year.
  16. Cincinnati by 45.
  17. If we get are 1 or 2 short, can't we just open it up to randoms?
  18. Would this be fair? If Alcides Escobar is one extreme and Baez is the other as far as Defense vs Power...Would it go something like Escobar-->Lindor-->Machado-->Baez?
  19. Desperation. Hope it doesn't come to that being the reason, but you never know.
  20. If he blows away the AFL, it becomes a non zero chance, in my opinion, of him being in our Opening Day lineup. Even with our FO being extremely cautious. I just don't see any way he doesn't start the year in AAA. There's too much to be gained on multiple levels. He may come right up in May after continuing his dominance in Iowa and postponing FA, but no way on Opening Day. This just isn't true. A long shot? Yes. Zero chance? Absolutely not.
  21. If Starks does get the waiver, I really think this team is going to be underrated this coming season.
  22. Leron Black, whoop whoop :good:
  23. Glad they don't have to play those two road games, but would love the other 2 at home... I think every team in the conference would appreciate an 11 game home schedule with 7 roadies. Well yeah, i meant having Minny and NW at home rather than say, MSU and Wisconsin Wait.....why??
  24. I would think Sweeney has more "long/medium term value" than Bogusevic, but really they seem fairly similar for the most part.
