    Yeah, they have no interest in closing the gap quickly. That's a legitimate reason. I don't think people are realizing how quick the Cubs could become an above average team with a lineup of Rizzo, Baez & Bryant + some pitching.

    I think you mean Lions -2.5 to pick 'em. Yeah, it went from Lions -2.5 to Bears 1.5 back to a Pick Em. I think Vegas overreacted a bit initially as I don't think Jay is worth 4 points to the line.

    Yeah. I have no worries that he will be a star again but I've soured on him as a person in general the last year or so And you'll sweeten on him as a person soon enough again. Come on.

    not just that stuff, but a lot of the people who are loudest about legalization are WAY too into pot. like it's a way of life for them. i'm pretty sure that prohibition would have gone on longer than it did if the prominent voices to undo the 18th amendment were a bunch of fall-down drunks. it's good that the legalization push is becoming more widespread so that there will a broader range of voices than the phish fans and jeff spicoli clones. This is 100% true among my single in their 30's friends.

    I'd be pretty surprised. 1) He's made multiple mentions of making $$ for his family 2) Don't think KU would be in the picture for a 2 year scenario

    I don't mean it in that sense; more in the "this is being set up too perfectly PR wise" by the Illinois people.

    To me, this is probably the biggest plus for Cliff Alexander picking Illinois so far. Just too odd that it happened 10 days before his announcement.

    1) Illinois basketball (Dad grew up outside Champaign & Grandpa went there) 2) Illinois Wesleyan basketball (My Undergrad; A superb D3 program; Good conference, fun to keep up with; Would root for them over UI but that's not realistic so they are #2) 3) Loyola basketball (My Graduate school; Sucked since like the 60's) 4) Michigan State (Favorite non-Illinois Big Ten school; My Aunt & Uncle own book stores on campus) 5) Rest of Big Ten (Always root for B10 over other conferences, sometimes hard with Indiana, Iowa & Michigan)
