  1. Half of my page is taken up by 3 pictures of Gabrielle Union and her wonderful side boob.
  2. How is his curve coming along for those of us without vision?
  3. Prior just can't get that 1-2-3 inning to help his confidence.
  4. his mechanics are messed up, he dosent look the same as he did in 03 and 04 Could they bring in his USC pitching coach or something, see if he notices something? I'm just grasping at straws, but Rothschild doesn't seem to get through to him. Get Tom House on the horn.
  5. Namedropper OK, an anonymous Detroit Tiger.
  6. I'm not sure if I ever posted this here. It doesn't have much relevence to present moment...but Curtis Granderson was at my condo last year after one of the Tigers games @ Wrigley and he said that Prior was the worst/easiest pitcher he faced all year. Basically like an 86 MPH fastball right down the middle...BP.
  7. .092? How blown out of proportion is this gonna get?
  8. The Wrigleyville Neighbors get tickets set aside for them. You better believe I am going to scalp mine. Sting is 56 Years Old...this concert is gonna blow.
  9. Didn't members of the opposing team yesterday state his mechanics appeared the same? Ah, the mysteries of the mind.... Bud Black and Sanders said that. His arm is lower than usual. They don't see him often enough to see the difference. Even Prior knows he's throwing differently; when he says he isn't "lined up" correctly, that's what he's referring to... Rothschild said he was throwing across his body You can look at photos from the game and see that he was. He is stepping much more towards 3rd base than he ever had in the past. This could be cause for a good 3 MPH decline.
  10. Yeah, like night and day differences. Just look at the Felix Pie thing. In a short time, they spotted something with his swing and adjusted it. We'll see how it works. This crew seems much more technically sound. And the coaches here work extremely hard. I'm getting the impression that you prefer your new working environment...... I could be totally off though. Maybe my office should hire Gerald Perry to improve my working environment.
  11. I agree with most of you....this is an ideal lineup. My only change would be a swap of Soriano in Right and Jones in Center. Minor detail I guess.
  12. http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f264/nushh/d82fc6a9.jpg T-Bag from Prison Break resemblance?
  13. Why do you think Murton? He seems like a hard worker... Hard worker, sure....but he still has to earn it in Piniella's eyes.
  14. I always forget if gates open 1 1/2 or 2 hours before the game. Anyways, you want to be there when the gates open when sitting in the bleachers. Batting practice is great. You will have no problem getting good seats for a Friday game. LF is the way to go. I've sat in the bleachers about 50 or so times I would say and have only been in RF once. Like it was said before, way way more tourists in RF. I guess because of Sosa still??
  15. Are the wristbands in numerical order? Like if I went with someone, would we get #'s 2000 and 2001? I'm assuming yes? Just wondered because if so then I would have my roommate go at a different time to separate our numbers.
  16. He would have to physically be there, and any credit card that he uses to buy tickets must be in his name. This is to keep scalpers from buying their way into the line (or so they say). Yeah, that's how I figured it worked. Well, I never have a terrible time over the internet anyways...but it would be nice to do it face to face.
  17. Great, thanks. Also...do they check for ID's and such only when you are picking up a wristband or also when you go to buy? Like could I use my roommates wristband to buy while he's at work or would he have to physically be there?
  18. Is that a lot? I'm assuming no by the way you phrased it. How many wristbands are usually handed out? Any idea?
  19. Can anybody give me a quick rundown of how the wristband situation works for ticket sales. I realize you get a wristband and they randomly draw a number. But after that....how quickly do they move through the line? Like...would it be better off to just try the internet if the number picked isn't all that close to yours? Or in those 2 hours do they get through a lot of people? Thanks in advance for any insight, I've never bought at the stadium before.
  20. Yes indeed - anyone remember Juan's debut? He took a tough loss but it was a thing of beauty. http://www.retrosheet.org/boxesetc/B08210CHN2001.htm I remember Cruz being favorably compared to Pedro after this game by the Brewers manager  (then again, he could afford to be magnanimous after watching freakin' Reuben Quevedo own the Cubs) Ruben Quevedo is a physical specimen.
  21. To Texas for John Danks and Nick Masset. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/whitesox/cs-061223soxtrade,1,6229686.story?coll=cs-home-headlines
  22. People are wasting their time talking about this shortstop thing and Giles. The Cubs, whether you like it or not, are happy with Izturis and are not looking for a shortstop. They signed DeRosa for three years to be their second baseman. They are not going to sign Giles. I definitely don't like it even though what you are saying is true. It just goes to show you with all the money spent on this team we will be lucky to make the playoffs. isnt it ridiculous how much medicrity costs these days- a quarter of a billion for a third place team- Payroll jumping to 250 million!! Now we're really talking. Quarter Million spent this offseason, but I'm sure you knew that.
