  1. There just seems to be absolutely no excitement in their voices at all. Makes me glad we have Len and Brenly. They always seem to be excited, win or lose. Dammit fat Glendon. When Wilson hit that home run they actually showed a little excitement, not much, but a little. Len and Brenly aren't great announcers, but they are far better than these Pirates guys.
  2. Buckle down Glendon. You still have a 4 run lead.

  4. Really? Wow. Pretty amazing considering he's hit in the bottom of the order all year. Maybe its time to move up? I don't really know where he'd hit. Walker is doing great in the two hole, and I don't want him batting 5th or 6th. Agreed, with the way Walker is hitting right now, I like him batting 2nd unless, like today, Barrett isn't in the lineup.
  5. Why do say it's unacceptable ? You've obviiously accepted it, since you're still here watching him pitch, no? Because you shouldn't give up two home runs to a guy that has a career .102 BA with 34 SO in 59 AB's. And I'm not watching the game to see Rusch pitch. My only hope for Gopher Ball Glendon is that he gives the Cubs a chance to win. I watch the games for the team, not just one player. I'm just weary of all the hyperole. When you've completely boycotted the team because they have such a bad player, then come back and tell me that it's unacceptable. Meantime, sit back and admit that you've accepted it. I do see what you are trying to say though Fred. I don't like Glendon but I'm going to watch him and hope he at least gives us a chance to win the game. People on this board don't think too highly of Neifi but when he comes up I guarantee that they hope he comes through. They may not have high hopes for Neifi coming through, but they want him to. Same goes for me with Glendon. I hope he pitches well like he is doing so far today.
  6. rusch should go 7, he's only @ 68 pitches Why not 8? 8 would be even better. But he should be able to go at least 7.
  7. Nice ARam. Let's hope Gopher Ball Glendon can go 7 so we can save the pen.

I haven't boycotted the team. I think Rusch giving up two HR's to a horrible hitting pitcher is unacceptable. By unacceptable I mean he needs to pitch a lot better than that, not that I refuse to accept that he actually gave up the homeruns. If the Cubs managed to get Barry Bonds I wouldn't boycott their games. I HATE Barry Bonds, but would still watch the games because it's the Cubs.
  9. Shorthopped the 410 marker in left center.

  11. not at all. it was astute to realize Rusch Sox for giving up two home runs to the same opposing pitcher in 2 consecutive starts It's one thing to give up home runs to Dunn, Griffey, and Kearns. But giving up two home runs to Bronson Arroyo is unacceptable.
  12. Wow. Just foul by Murton. He ripped that pitch.
  13. clue: it's not Rusch (can't do it in 2 seasons, much less 1). Too true.
  14. I love the announcers reaction - "I don't know where that pitch was, but it obviously wasn't a good one because Walker hit it out."
  15. Does advancing the runner really matter that much in that situation? Aside from a WP or an infield single(not very likely with Ramirez up), anything that scores Pierre from 3rd would score him from 2nd. Excellent point. WALKER!!! 3-0 Cubs on an 0-2 pitch HR by Walker.
  16. Nice steal Slappy. DLee with a ground out though.
  17. Wow, the Pirates announcer made it all the way to a 1-2 count to Pierre before mentioning 2003. That was nice. Good start by Slappy.
  18. Stiff neck from the collision with Casey on Friday. Mabry should be happy he isn't Sean Casey right now.
  19. The Pirates announcer on MLB.TV didn't realize that he was on the air and just said "I don't know what you're talking about" and then a few seconds later said "What's your name?" He didn't say anything else.
  20. Definately. That's what I thought was going to happen. Obviously I was wrong.
