  1. Somebody get Ron Gant on the phone. Is Dave Justice still serviceable? Sid Bream anyone? Give Bonds another shot to throw Bream out at the plate.
  2. Uh, I'm 32 and I keep improving. Drinking tolerances don't count. They do when you're a fan of the Cubs. Too true.

  5. :D The Raiders were up 14-0 and 21-3 over Cleveland in Week 4 and we know how that game turn out so I wouldn't get too excited yet.
  6. The Cardinals need a new kicker.
  7. I hate the Cardinals.
  8. And in typical Raider fashion, they are driving against the Cardinals to start the game but then Zach Crockett fumbles on the pitch from Walter and the Cardinals recover. Go Arizona!!
  9. False start on KC. This will now be a 53 yarder for the win for KC. And he nailed it.
  10. That's insane.
  11. LT with the halfback pass to Manumaleuna for the game tying touchdown.
  12. Super Troopers.
  13. You could put West Virgina in there too. My guess is they will be playing for the national championship after Michigan loses to OSU and ND beats USC. I'm sure all the ND fans will be crying about it too even though Michigan destroyed them. Regardless, no one touches OSU this year. USC is going to lose to Cal and maybe ND. If OSU loses it will be to Michigan. I certainly wouldnt put that in the win column for OSU yet. I agree that West Virginia is going to end up in the title game. I also think it is going to be well deserved even with all the SEC crying foul. How can anyone say WVU in the title game is well deserved? Look at their schedule. According to CBSsportline it is 100 of 119 DI Teams. They played no one this year. The Big East is terrible this year. Because they will have won at Louisville, at Pitt in the Backyard Brawl and vs Rutgers. Their SOS will improve as the year goes on and won't be 100 out of 119 when the year is over.
  14. I agree.
  15. If they play a good game today, I think that they will take over the Bears for consensus best team in football again I'm not sure. There are a great deal of misconceptions about the Colts this year. The Fox pre-game show started off by telling its audience that the Colts have absolutely no running game this year. They backed it up by saying that Edge was 5th in running at this time of the year, and Rhodes is only 30th this year. Of course, the Colts use 2 RB's-and the tandem has had a better YPC average and a better YPG average than Edge did in the first 5 games last year. I don't know if that type of misconception will die easily. Indy's defense isn't looking very good right now though. If Indy can get to 8-0 then I think, regardless of what the Bears do, they should be considered the best team in football because, to reach 8-0, they will have to win in Denver and NE.
  16. I don't think it can get any worse for Northwestern this week after what MSU pulled on them last week.
  17. I would say that Indianapolis already had their tough week(s) with the Jets and Titans in weeks 4 and 5 respectively.
  18. You could put West Virgina in there too. My guess is they will be playing for the national championship after Michigan loses to OSU and ND beats USC. I'm sure all the ND fans will be crying about it too even though Michigan destroyed them. Regardless, no one touches OSU this year. I wouldn't group WVU in with Georgia as overrated because we don't know if they're overrated. WVU had a very good team last year and returned a lot of their starters including the two key guys in Slaton and White. Georgia, on the other hand, lost a ton of players. Virtually every team will have a couple close calls over the course of the year so I'm not going to cite those. Georgia played one good half against Tennessee but got hammered in the other half and then lost to Vanderbilt at home the next week. Georgia is clearly in a down year.
  19. What makes Louisville any different from West Virginia? The only difference between the two was that West Virginia had a ton of hype surrounding them coming into the year. Neither team has played anybody yet. You could even make the argument that with Louiville beating Miami, they've actaully had a harder schedule than West Virginia this year.
  20. Can I just throw out that Georgia and Ole Miss are F***** dog**** teams and would struggle to win the MAC? And I can't help but mention that warpticon trumped these claims by saying the Big 12 was in the running as the best conference, when it seems to clearly be in the running as the worst of the BCSers. PAC 10 Big 10 SEC Big East Big 12 ACC Ole Miss, maybe??? Georgia, that's laughable. I understand that UGA is having a bad year, but on athleticism alone they'd dominate in the MAC. SEC third best conference, pffftt!!! Georgia is not a very good team this year. They might win the MAC but they were one of the most overrated teams in D-I this year.
  21. San Diego (-5) Miami (-5) NY Jets (-3.5) Pittsburgh (-2.5) Philadelphia (-5) New England (-5.5) Jacksonville (-9.5) Carolina (+3) Denver (-4.5) Arizona (-3) Seattle (-6.5) Indianapolis (-9) Dallas (-3.5)
  22. Then he will throw a side-session the week after. Followed by a simulated game. You forgot the towel drill That's what I was going to say. :D
  23. I agree completely. I'm all in favor of a stopgap in CF so Pie doesn't have to step in immediately.
  24. I don't think Matthews will be worth the money he is going to command and I think he'll have a drop off next year. Remember, he is 32 so he's not likely to improve anymore.
