  1. Go USA!! EDIT: I'll predict a 3-0 US victory.
  2. Wow...undrafted??!? Yup, we were talking about his team and I asked him if anybody took Prior and Wood (no) and then Hill. He said nobody drafted Hill which surprised me.
  3. Actually it was 2 complete games last year, not 1 (although the second one was rain-shortened). The only 9 inning complete game for the Cubs then smart-aleck. :D
  4. I sent him one also a couple days ago but haven't got an answer yet.
  5. Speaking of Mater Dei, I saw them a replay on TV of their D-II state title game against Archbishop Mitty and my god did they have some ridiculous height. I can't believe (after looking online) that Love had 36 points in that game. Love did it with a 102-degree fever. :) Mater Dei has the size (with the Wear twins), but they don't have much muscle up front. They also had 7'0 Alex Jacobson going to Arizona, 6'8 Taylor King going to Duke, and 6'8 Andy Brown (sophomore). But like you said, they didn't appear to have much muscle. Jacobson was pretty skinny, the Wear twins are sophomores and King was more of a SG/SF than a big man. They looked big but I couldn't believe how big until I looked up their roster on maxpreps. Kevin Love looks much stronger than any of the Mater Dei guys did.
  6. which would make him redundant on the Bulls, as we already have Noc filling that role An excellent point if Nocioni were 6-10. And if Noc was a flopper who constantly whined to the refs. Are you referring to Murphy or McRoberts? Either way, Nocioni mastered flopping long ago. He is Argentinian.
  7. Hansbrough will be worse than McRoberts. i agree I dunno. I think Hansbrough's motor alone guarantees him a Anderson Varejao style role, and he's obviously a better finisher/foul shooter than Varejao. He's also smaller, but I think he has a lengthy NBA career, even if he doesn't ever validate his draft spot. I can't say the same about McRoberts. He won't be able to go past anyone, he can't really step out on the deeper perimeter, and he's not big/strong enough to be a force underneath. Agreed. While I don't think either will be stars in the NBA, I think Hansbrough will have a longer and more successful career than McRoberts will.
  8. "With the first pick in the 2007 NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders select Calvin Johnson." Oh wait, that's just a dream and will never happen. I can already guarantee I'm not going to be happy on draft day for the second year in a row.
  9. Excellent. Thanks for the reminder.
  10. The same guy who got the only Cubs CG last year.
  11. Here's hoping Prior pitches well.
  12. How about we have even more fun and predict the number of strikeouts this year as well. In his four full years (2003 not included) he's had 170, 195, 168, and 194. I think he'll break his own record and finish with 201.
  13. Hmm...a bit more expensive but it does come with a 120 GB hard drive. I'll have to find out if my buddy would be able to mod this one (I would assume he would since it's still a 360). The large hard drive would also mean I wouldn't have to buy a separate hard drive to put in.
  14. My editor is in a fantasy baseball league with, I believe, a lot of Giants fans and Hill went undrafted. I strongly recommended that he pick Hill up. I think there are 10 or 12 teams in his league.
  15. HAHAHAHAHA!!! Good stuff. They should have kept that in there.
  16. Speaking of Mater Dei, I saw them a replay on TV of their D-II state title game against Archbishop Mitty and my god did they have some ridiculous height. I can't believe (after looking online) that Love had 36 points in that game.
  17. Anybody know a site that shows the first and second half splits for the game? I would like to know what UNC shot from the field in the second half because they were around 50% in the first half and ended up at 35.7 for the game.
  18. Assuming UCLA can put up a better fight this time. That's two straight scares for my bracket with Georgetown. I really wouldn't mind a nice 10-15 point victory over OSU in the next round.
  19. That Oden-Hibbert matchup should be fun to watch.
  20. It seems like they've really started forcing shots lately. And Hansbrough can't even make a free throw either.
  21. If Carolina loses this game it's just another example for my "Blown Opportunity" theory where a team has a shot to win a game or a series, blows the chance and never has a good shot to win in overtime or the next game.
  22. UNC has gone stone cold with their shooting.
  23. Ellington missed a three and Georgetown with the board and timeout. There are 1.4 seconds left on the clock and they might add more. Come on Hoyas. EDIT: At the very least we're going to overtime.
  24. Tie game with 24.4 to go.
