    Maybe the Cubs should just have the first runner go directly to first and not even step into the batters box. That would allow Carlos to pitch out of the stretch - which he apparently likes to do - and it would save Carlos at least 4 pitches.

    In two days off you can do a lot of slumpbusting. Hope nobody got herpes during the break. I think that is what happened to ARAM...."wrist" = herpes ARam couldn't find a slumpbuster so he had to do it himself. EDIT: He must have done it a bit too much.

    Aram and DeRosa are both out with injuries. Really...minor injuries, I would hope. DeRosa I'm not sure about but ARam's right arm fell off.

It is a crime that Edmunds makes $1M more than Carpenter. It's a crime that Eckstein is only making $4.58 million. His scrappyness is worth at least $15M and probably more.

    The media keeps bringing up the fact that the Cubs spent $300 million in the offseason on players - and they say it all the time - but I rarely hear that the Cubs have a $300 million payroll. Maybe it's because I don't read the Chicago papers but I rarely hear it. That doesn't mean I haven't already tired of hearing the number $300 million though.

    No, if he doesn't get ejected at all this year I win-that's what I chose. Yeah.. and that's probably the best bet. It's the safest one. Not the best one. Mine's the best bet. :wink: He's getting tossed in the Cardinals series later this month, in the game I have. :D

    Stiffness in his pitching shoulder. EDIT: Come to think of it, he should be eligible to come off the DL soon. Which means he'll be eligible to go back on the DL soon.

    Well, if really enjoy on pace stats at this point in the season, A-Rod is on pace to hit 121 HR for an 81-81 Yankees, and Felix Hernandez is on pace for a 0.00 ERA and 297 Strikeouts for a 97-65 Mariners team. I agree. I always love looking at pace stats early in the year. Another one, the Washington Nationals are on pace to go 18-144 this year.
