I don't really like the decision, but they say if you're gonna go, you'd better make sure you beat it out. Lee beat it out and the ump botched it. And you can't control the ump making the right call. Too bad there.

yeah i think a lot of us agree that this would be best, unfortunately the Marlins and Yankees don't agree I bet the Yankees might agree, especially with their pitching in shambles right now. yeah and Z would fix that how? Do you really think Z is going to continue sucking? He's been terrible pretty much every April of his career. He's always been a slow starter. I think he's just saying that right now there would be absolutely no way that the Yankees would trade the hottest hitter in the league for a pitcher who has an ERA over 7 and is due for a huge contract at the end of the year. The fans have a love-hate relationship with A-Rod-right now they love him, and they would lynch the Yankees front office if that happened. Now if Z starts dominating, and A-Rod struggles for a month or two, it might become possible. ARod's hot start pretty much eliminated any chance of the Yankees trading him. If he were sucking and getting booed by the fans, this would be a different story.

Didn't we home in something like 8 straight games at the start of the season? ? the longest streak was 3 games from 4/5 to 4/7. The cubs have homered in 9 out of 18 games. They have hit a total of 14 good for 8th place in the NL. I thought I had heard Len during the Atl series say something about us having a homer in several games in a row....maybe he was talking about someone else or I just mis-heard him. The Cubs didn't hit a home run on Friday against the Cards.

For the second round do they have the top remaining seed in the conference play the lowest remaining seed or is it the normal 1/8 winner vs 4/5 winner? For some reason i think it's the former.

It's a combination of them being a better than normal 8 seed and matching up well with Dallas. That being said. I'm surprised GS won a game on the road because they have one of the worst road records in the whole league.

-- Yahoo But then again, he was scheduled to make his next start until he had a flare-up the day or two before his start. Until he has a problem-free start (eg: doesn't have to skip the start thereafter), I'm not banking on anything. So in other words, he can come off the DL whenever he can pitch since it's been more than 15 days, correct?

why, do you not like winning? He doesnt like cheating. Cheating or not. I just don't like his attitude. im pretty sure we can ignore someone's attittude if the team wins. whats more important, attitude or winning? the world's not disney world. You would really want to cheer for a team full of Bondses? I think you'd change your mind pretty quick about that. I wouldn't have enjoyed the Colts Superbowl win nearly as much if you replaced guys like Dungy and Harrison with Belichick and Terrell Owens. Not every player has to be my favorite person in the world but Bonds would be too much to ask for, I just couldn't cheer for a guy like that. With other teams, you're right. But with the Cubs, I'll take a World Series title any way I can get it. If that means we have 25 jerks who hate each other on the roster than so be it. I just want a World Series title. -
Miller has already stated that he had no desire to come out of the pen. So if the Cubs decide that they don't want Miller to start anymore he'll likely be traded or DFA.
