  1. I like this idea as well considering I wasn't around for some of the classic threads that are mentioned - namely the Nomar trade thread (I believe).
  2. Gotta go with Bob but not by much.
  3. Tough vote but soccer wins.
  4. Just saw highlights of the Brewers-Twins game today and boy did Prince Fielder look goofy running around the bases. It's kind of hard to describe but I guarantee you'll get a good laugh out of it.
  5. I'm right in the middle.
  6. I'm really getting tired of the inability of the US team to finish.
  7. and Frack?
  8. Gotta go with most of Cy Young's pitching records that have been listed here. I think DiMaggio's streak will be broken at some point. Same as Hack's 191 RBI's. Nolan Ryan's 7 no-hitters and strikeout record aren't likely to be broken, but they could. That's the difference between those recrods and Cy Young's.
  9. Oh here we go. (But I do think the Bud Light Bleachers or the Walter E. Smith dugout advertisement revenue will cover that) I couldn't help myself. :D
  10. And if he was called safe, and score, the Cubs would have a less chance of losing and eventually, a topic in rants was made and it popularized "Cobs" So Bruce Froemming is a reactant to ------------> Cobs. Well at least Bruce did something productive.
  11. Only if the Cubs don't have to pay for his HGH.
  12. Too expensive in what it would take to get him, no thanks.
  13. That would be the first time this year Eyre has actually put zeros up on the scoreboard.
  14. Nah. They are pretty happy with Napoli. Oakland hasn't been happy with Kendall, but I think they're kind of stuck with him. The A's are actually going to have Piazza play a bit at catcher when he comes back from his shoulder injury. It probably wouldn't be a full time thing just part time.
  15. I doubt Barrett comes cheap in the offseason. Somebody will pay him decent money and likely in the AL where he can DH.
  16. Maybe we can send them Sergio Mitre, Ricky Nolasco, and Renyel Pinto. Oh wait. #-o ](*,)
  17. BY FAR my favorite. And it's not even close.
  18. Yup. Once the Cubs get to .500 then I'll worry about what they have to do to overtake the Brewers. Because even as bad as this division is, it's going to take at least a .500 record to win it.
  19. Very few high schoolers can hit 90 on the gun and even fewer can do it consistently. They might top out at 90 but they aren't hitting it all the time. But I do get the point you made.
  20. The Padres are the best team we will be playingon this 21 game stretch. By quite a bit, too. Which is definitely a good thing.
  21. As much as I like Z, I think Artest would take him.
  22. It would be if this poll were held before Super Bowl XLI.
  23. It won't be much different with Yeti. Not that I can say much since Robbie Gould, er, Brian is going to destroy me in the next round.
  24. I voted for the Marlins also.
  25. Tell me this isn't real. http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w20/CTCubsFan/col_logobanner_primary.jpg Shouldn't the Rockies' slogan have something to do with Jesus? That would be far more fitting.
