    Taking Marshall out after just 72 pitches was an interesting decision. I would have just let him bat in the top of the inning. And I would have said that before Ward hit into the DP but I didn't realize Ward was pinch hitting.

    nah noah is gonna walk him. Isn't there another thread for the constant Brewers game updates? Most of us are at this thread. I appreciate the updates when im here. An occassional update is fine. Constant play by play is annoying. Anyone with a computer (and I assume you have one if you are on this thread) can follow the game themselves if they are that interested. It's more annoying to switch from thread to thread. I appreciate the updates as well. Agreed. It's not really a big deal for the separate threads if the Cubs and Brewers are playing at the different times. But when they're playing at the same time it's easier to just discuss it here.

    They finished the regular season with four undefeated teams from the six BCS conferences which is ridiculous. EDIT: That actually might have been up to the conference title games though I'm not sure. HAHA!! Sure enough. They finished the thing on SportsCenter today and Rece Davis says "We finished with four unbeaten teams and two of them aren't going to be happy with our national championship game. If only we had a four team playoff with 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3.

    I don't think Lou even appealed and didn't Derrek Lee drop his? EDIT: Are you really comparing a guy who made accidental contact with an up (Prince) to a guy who charged the mound and caused benches to clear (Lee)? And what does Prince not having a good relationship with his father have to do with being a problem kid?

    There's no reason Prior shouldn't be getting paid by the Cubs next year. I would say that he should be wearing a Cubs uniform but, well, we'll just have to hope that's the case.

    Damn good? $100m and we're barely over .500, and he's been damn good? Or we could be the White Sox? Over 100m and in last place? Some guys find anyway to bitch about anything that happens trade-wise. We could get Albert Pujols in a trade for Derrek Lee, and sign him to a 7 year deal, and people would still complain. And then we could get Vlad, and people would still complain about getting him because we traded away our best prospects. it's never ending. (I'm not stating Monroe is anywhere close to the talent of these two guys, but give the guy a chance before you bitch about it.) Very stupid post. It's all true. You seriously believe someone would complain about a Pujols for Lee trade or for acquiring Vlad? Please. I can think of a couple people off the top of my head who would find some sort of negative in the deals.

After pulling out another win late, this time in the tenth inning, the Cubs have now won five of their last six games. They'll face Matt Cain who has been getting very little run support this year (though not quite Rich Hill bad). Zambrano has made two poor starts in a row so hopefully he can right the ship with a good outing today. I will be in attendance again along with CubmanPi and will try to post some pictures once I get back from the game. The game will be on FSN for those of you in Northern California.

    HAHAHAHA!!! The "Bastard" comment also rings of Seinfeld where Person A does something or considers doing something, then Person B sees somebody else doing that and comments to Person A saying "How could somebody do that?" Awesome story. You were the one who posted the edible body paint story, right?
