    I promised I wouldn't whine about it. But it is frustrating. I just wish we could do that more. At least the Brewers are down 5-0, and I'm confident they don't have as good a shot in coming back in this one. :D It's the Giants, anything is possible.

    I can't remember if I really defended the trade (though I don't think so) or if I just didn't have a problem with it (more likely). I'm pretty sure I had the thoughts of "well, Kendall can't possibly be any worse than K. Hill and Bowen were" - especially when I found out that the A's were picking up a majority of the leftover salary since the Pirates were already paying a lot. EDIT: Plus Kendall at least had the chance of being good.

    They said on SportsCenter that generally no inning can start after 1 a.m. local time but the exception is if it's the visiting team's last game to that city. Not sure why they couldn't just suspend it until tomorrow, though.

    A bit late on this one but... CUBS WIN!!! CUBS WIN!!! Good to see the Cubs pull out a win in this one as they've now secured at least a .500 road trip which is very nice. Hopefully they can at least split the last two games to earn a 4-2 road trip. And thank you to the Giants for winning tonight - hopefully they can also split the last two games of the Brewers series.

    That strike 3 was low. There's no way that's a strike.

    Bases loaded, 0 outs it was very possible to break the game wide open there. Lou was thinking about that. Unfortunately, Ward hit into a DP. If it was a tie game I could understand but Marshall had allowed 2 hits and one walk and allowed the only run on a solo HR. He's pitching well and there's no need to take out an effective pitcher after just 72 pitches. The Cubs may not have needed any more runs based on how he was throwing. I understand Lou was trying to break the game open but I don't agree with it.
